Job Description Mark III Construction is growing, and we are looking for a HVAC Journeyman that are able to work in the Sacramento and surrounding areas. Travel is a requirement of this position. We support projects from initial concept through long-term maintenance, with specialized expertise in healthcare, higher education, industrial, life science, and technology markets. Our integrated, big-picture approach allows us to self-perform electrical, HVAC, plumbing, process piping, prefabrication, and MEP design. By consolidating these services under one organization, clients benefit from reduced profit layers, minimized scope gaps, and simplified project schedules—working with a single, accountable partner rather than multiple consultants and subcontractors. Headquartered in Sacramento, California, Mark III operates throughout California and Nevada. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility serves as a centralized hub supporting five core trades: HVAC, mechanical piping, plumbing, electrical, and metal-stud framing. To support our continued growth, we will be relocating from our current combined 62,000 square feet of office and operational space to a new 340,000-square-foot headquarters at 2031 Optisolar Lane, with the move planned for completion by the end of Q2 2026. Mission: Leading the Evolution of Construction Vision: Exposing the World to a New Way to Build Core Values: • Teamwork, • Excellence, • Perseverance, • Integrity, • Continuous Improvement Requirements • Knowledge and experience in but not limited to: duct work, sheet metal, pipe work, controls, chiller plant and equipment, and duct and pipe installation for commercial and industrial projects, • Prepare and maintain project related documents such as RFIs and change orders, time cards, daily-logs of all assigned site activities, job hazard analysis, and any other documents needed, • Responsible for all on site activity regarding manpower, materials and scheduling, • Proven experience successfully managing crews in commercial and industrial environments, • Ability to work alongside crew, • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics and drawings, technical manuals and specs, • Develop strong working relationships with all parties involved, • Directly accountable for all aspects of assigned projects at assigned job sites, • Assist PM with schedules to meet customer deadlines, • Ensure compliance by educating and enforcing all health & safety requirements on projects, • Job close out, • Minimum 2 years experience running large commercial projects., • Minimum 5 years commercial experience in commercial HVAC operations, • Knowledge and experience in installation, operation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment and systems, • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, • Experience in supervising multiple employees at one time successfully, • Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills, • Valid CA driver’s license in good standing Physical Demands of posted job: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • Required to lift objects weighing up to 25lbs, • Required walking for long and short distances, walking from one worksite to another., • Required to perform repetitive motion tasks, • Required to pull or push using force, • Required to stand for sustained periods of time, • Required to bend or twist at the neck and torso, • Required to crouching, squatting, stooping, kneeling, • Required to use and climb ladders to work from heights, • Required to use scissor, boom, and other personnel lifts to access the work area, • Required to reach above head, • Required to reach forward, grab, grasp, pinching, handle material and tools using upper extremities, • Required to lift objects from low to high positions in horizontal to vertical motions, • Required to talk, express, or exchange detailed, important information by means of verbal communication., • Constantly Required to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
