Job Description Ecotone seeks a skilled finish carpenter with experience in commercial and luxury projects in NYC. We aim to identify an individual with a background in the trades, who thrives in being hands-on with a small team, knows their way around the wood shop and job site, and enjoys building. This individual can manage detailed finish carpentry installations, technical millwork installations, fine woodworking details, and coordination between our Brooklyn shop and job site locations. A requisite for this job is a familiarity with the logistics and challenges of a city-based installation team on job sites in and around the city. This individual should also have experience in a woodshop and with production techniques of install-ready components. Work would be split between fabrication work at the shop and installation work on job sites, sometimes requiring more shop work and sometimes requiring more installation work. Job Description Fitter/Tailor: NYC, Long Island, NY, Hoboken, NJ & Greenwich, CT alts | Alteration Specialists is looking for a Fitter/Tailor We are looking for a dynamic professional Fitter/Tailor, distinguished by their charisma, technical prowess, and professional integrity. This role will include fittings, sewing on the machine, building client relationships and supporting the tailor shop manager. This is a full time role in New York City, Brooklyn, Long Island, Hoboken, NJ and Greenwich,CT with salary, full benefits, and opportunities for future growth. Responsibilities Client Relationship Management and Fittings • Maintain a professional, warm, welcoming studio environment, • Conduct Fittings according to the Alteration Specialists Standard, • Build relationships with clients, influencers, brands and stylists, • Demonstrate that you are meeting personal production targets, • Constantly be evaluating processes that are not efficient and come up with solutions to better optimize our organization, • Inform front desk of all re-alterations, • You are a skilled communicator. You’re both a great listener and an effective speaker and writer. You treat sensitive information with respect and discretion., • You are respectful, compassionate, and empathic. You have a calming demeanor and a way of building trusting, caring relationships with ease., • You are mission driven.
