Position Summary The TIGI Packaging Lead is responsible for leading the end-to-end development and commercialization of packaging solutions across the TIGI portfolio. This role serves as a technical expert and key cross-functional partner, driving packaging innovation, ensuring regulatory and EPR compliance, and delivering cost-effective, manufacturable designs. The position requires strong ownership, supplier engagement, and the ability to independently manage complex packaging initiatives from concept through launch. Primary Responsibilities · Partner with Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Quality and Finance on developing new packaging through external suppliers. · Ensure that projects meet the brand’s needs while meeting cost, quality, design and functional requirements. · Manage the creation and upkeep of packaging component specifications in Evermark’s specification system. · Develop testing plans for new product development projects and execute with third party testing labs and component suppliers. · Identify and implement cost savings initiatives. · Visit on-site production startups and line trials to qualify new packaging componentry and new fillers. · Maintain knowledge of external vendor capabilities. · Stay current with new packaging material regulations and industry trends. · Troubleshoot issues in production. · Support ongoing base business to ensure stock coverage. Required Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Packaging/Plastics/Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical Engineering, or related field. · 5 – 7 years of proven experience in package engineering & development in consumer products, beauty, or related industry for a global product portfolio. · Experience creating packaging specifications for manufacturing. · A technical acumen with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings for components and assemblies. · Demonstrated knowledge of various manufacturing processes including extrusion blow molding, ISBM, injection molding, printing and filling. · Knowledge of various CPG packaging materials and their physical and chemical properties. · Ability to partner effectively across a diverse set of business partners and customers to deliver key results in a timely manner. · Entrepreneurial, business owner mentality, willing to be hands-on and contribute as one team. · Ability to tackle complex problems through critical thinking. · Excellent communication skills, including spoken and written English. · Ability to travel both internationally and domestically up to 40%. · Strong PC skills: MS Office, PowerPoint, CAD software is a plus. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: • Perform all aspects of sample collecting per NJDEP requirements to monitor water quality in the distribution system and at treatment plant (BAC-T, THM, VOC, CL2, L&C, TOC, etc.…), • Perform Calibration and Verification on all lab and Process equipment., • Optimizes day-to-day plant operations including operability and plant process control (SCADA)., • Monitor water production operations, storage and treatment systems including booster pumps, storage tanks, emergency interconnections stations and related facilities, chemical application equipment, water main chlorination and de-chlorination., • Establishing the proper chemical dosing and inventory at all facility (treatment plant)., • Investigate complaints regarding water quality and system pressure and notify on-call personnel when appropriate., • Perform maintenance, and repair of all equipment at the water treatment plant and distribution system (such as cleaning tanks and filter beds, using backwashing (reverse flow of water), repair and lubricate machines and equipment, using hand tools and power tools)., • Recommend solutions to operational and technical problems., • Adhere to all regulatory requirements (sampling, water quality monitoring and reporting, operator certification, audits, inspections …), • Determine need and feasibility of major repairs on individual pieces of equipment; consults with user departments to recommend repair or replacement of equipment., • Maintain/Update all reporting databases for Production Department., • Maintains all plant system equipment., • Follow standard operating procedures and best practices to ensure compliance., • Transfer chemicals from one building to another as needed., • Conduct safety monitoring at the facility (treatment plant)., • Prepare reports as required., • Operate and perform maintenance and repair on Belt Press., • Must be able to respond to emergency calls and work extended hours as needed (the incumbent must be member of the Rahway Emergency Response Team and emergency callout rotation)., • Establishing the proper chemical dosing and inventory at all facility (treatment plant)., • Respond to and investigate complaints regarding water quality and system pressure., • Recommend solutions to operational and technical problems., • Perform distribution system duties as needed., • Perform distribution related activities as required., • Comply with all organization safety procedures., • Safety and housekeeping., • Perform other projects/tasks/duties as assigned.Qualifications Education/Experience/Background: • High School Diploma/GED is required., • Ability to learn to operate specialized computer systems and equipment relative to water monitoring and control (SCADA)., • A general knowledge of water treatment and mechanical maintenance is desirable., • Basic knowledge of chemistry, biology and mathematics., • Mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills are required., • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing., • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with people at all levels, both internally and externally., • CDL preferred or ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment., • Participate in continuous improvement program., • Must possess both the skills and physical ability to perform routine maintenance procedures for pumps, motors and control equipment.
