As a CNC Machinist III & II (Set up - operator and programming experience) you will be responsible for: • Set up and operate CNC lathes and Haas vertical/horizontal mills to machine parts to specifications., • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders., • Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools., • Edit G-code programs directly at the machine as needed., • Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to optimize quality and cycle time., • Maintain machine tools and equipment in good working condition., • Troubleshoot and resolve machining and tooling issues., • Collaborate with engineers and quality inspectors to improve manufacturing processes., • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety and quality standards., • Detail-oriented and highly skilled CNC Machinist II with over 3 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the setup, operation, and adjustment of HAAS milling and turning centers., • Adept at producing high-precision components with tight tolerances in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment, consistently meeting or exceeding quality and efficiency standards., • Proficient in reading and interpreting complex aerospace engineering drawings and GD&T specifications, ensuring each part complies with AS9100 and customer-specific requirements., • Demonstrated expertise in setting up multi-axis CNC equipment, making program offsets and tool changes, and conducting first article inspections to ensure accurate part production from the outset., • Experienced with a full range of precision measuring tools and gaging equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and dial indicators., • Skilled in performing in-process inspections, verifying part dimensions, and documenting results using SPC (Statistical Process Control) techniques and quality documentation systems., • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify machining issues, adjust tooling or parameters as needed, and communicate effectively with programmers, engineers, and quality inspectors., • Known for maintaining a clean and organized work area while following all safety and quality protocols, including 5S practices., • Committed to continuous improvement, on-time delivery, and contributing to a team-oriented environment that supports high standards of craftsmanship and accountability.The ideal candidate will have:, • 5–10 years of CNC machining experience with a strong focus on both lathe and Haas milling machines., • Proficient in setup and operation of CNC lathes and Haas vertical/horizontal mills., • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T., • Experience with a variety of materials (e.g., aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, etc.)., • Solid understanding of tooling, feeds/speeds, and machining best practices., • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills., • Experience with 3-axis and 4-axis Haas mills., • Familiarity with Mastercam or other CAM software is a plus., • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices., • High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.Thank you!
