Job DescriptionBenefits: • 401(k), • Flexible schedule, • Opportunity for advancement, • Paid time off, • Competitive Compensation, • Great Work Environment Key Responsibilities Clinical Care • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments, • Diagnose mental health and co-occurring conditions using DSM-5-TR criteria, • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications within scope of practice, • Provide follow-up medication management and treatment monitoring, • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, • Coordinate care with therapists, primary care providers, and community supports, • Maintain patient safety protocols, including crisis intervention and escalation procedures Autonomous Practice Expectations • Independently manage clinical caseload and treatment decisions, • Adhere to all state licensure, collaborative, or independent practice requirements, • Maintain current knowledge of psychopharmacology and best practices, • Ensure timely completion of documentation, chart closure, and orders, • Uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory standards Telehealth & Compliance • Deliver care via secure telehealth platforms, • Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation, • Comply with HIPAA, state regulations, and payer requirements, • Support quality improvement, audits, and credentialing activities as needed Minimum Qualifications • Active PMHNP certification (ANCC or equivalent), • Current unencumbered RN and APRN/NP license in VA or MD, • Autonomous or independent practice eligibility per state law, • DEA registration (and state controlled substance registration if applicable), • Minimum 12 years of psychiatric prescribing experience, • Experience providing telehealth psychiatric services, • Malpractice insurance meeting organizational requirements Preferred Qualifications • Multi-state licensure (e.g., NC, VA, MD, etc.), • Experience with children/adolescents and complex mental health conditions, • Knowledge of value-based care, quality metrics, or collaborative care models, • Bilingual or culturally responsive care experience Productivity & Performance Expectations • Maintain agreed-upon weekly patient volume and schedule availability, • Close charts within 72 hours of service, • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and quality initiatives, • Support continuity of care and patient engagement goals Compensation & Benefits (Varies by employment type) 1099 Contractor: • Competitive per-visit or hourly rate, • Flexible scheduling, • Full autonomy with administrative support W-2 Employment (if applicable): • Competitive salary or hourly compensation, • Paid time off and holidays, • Credentialing and malpractice support, • Professional development opportunities This is a remote position.
