Job Description The Spanish Interpreter is responsible for providing verbal and written translation services to facilitate communication between Spanish-speaking individuals and English-speaking individuals. The Interpreter will interpret conversations and documents, both written and spoken, from one language to another. The Spanish Interpreter is responsible for providing accurate and clear interpretations of Spanish spoken and/or written materials. The Interpreter must be able to accurately interpret both verbal and written Spanish into English and English into Spanish. Job Description Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Sign Language Interpreter position is available to support elementary-aged students in a Virginia Beach area school district. This contract assignment runs from January 5, 2026, through June 16, 2026, with the possibility of renewal for the 20262027 school year. The role requires in-person presence five days per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., serving students across one or multiple elementary schools as assigned.
