Job Description Full Time or Part Time| Hourly Position Reports To: Restaurant Manager/ General Manager Job Summary:Responsible for greeting guests at the door, seats guests in appropriate area of restaurant/bar. Presents menus to guests in a friendly, professional and quick manner and informs guests of daily specials. Principal Duties/Tasks: • ✓ Greet all guests in a pleasant and timely manner., • ✓ Ensure that work stations are stocked/filled before and after every shift., • ✓ Advise supervisor of any member/guest complaints., • ✓ Attend all meetings/training sessions requested by the supervisor., • ✓ Keep all Food and Beverage areas clean at all times and assist with up-keep of all equipment., • ✓ Serve food and beverage items that meet the standards, as outlined by the menus and health regulation., • ✓ Maintain responsibility for all guest checks and turn them into your supervisor or designated area., • ✓ Handle any problem that might arise both courteously and professionally., • ✓ Set-up and break down tables, chairs, theme decorations and other equipment as requested., • ✓ Operate within all guidelines, policies and standards. Mental/Visual Skills: • ✓ Good organizational skills, • ✓ Good verbal skills, • ✓ Ability to use logical and rational thinking to solve problems., • ✓ Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages., • ✓ Ability to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions. Required Work Experience:Not required but is recommended Required Education:Thorough knowledge of food and Beverage service operational procedures as would normally be acquired through a high school education or equivalent. Required Certifications/Licenses:Any certificate or special training such as, SERV-Safe, ABC certificate or any leadership courses is recommended but not required Working Conditions:Work primarily indoors in a bar/lounge/restaurant environment. Exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement hazards, sharp utensils, extremely hot stoves, grills and food items, and dangerous chemicals/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.
