Job Description The Host & Cashier is responsible for creating a smooth and positive guest experience by greeting guests, managing seating and processing payments efficiently. Duties: • Sincerely greets and thanks each guest., • Inform guests of hours/days of operation, all coupons and specials., • Determine guest needs, provide information on seating status, take names and quote wait times accurately., • Seats guests in the proper order of arrival., • Accurate use of the dine-time seating system., • Know all table numbers and the various sections of the restaurant., • Accurate use of the POS system to close checks using a variety of payment methods., • Balance a bank with a high level of accuracy., • Completes all side work requirements., • One or more years’ previous host/cashier experience is preferred., • Must be available to work any day of the week and any shift., • Must be able to repeatedly lift 15 lbs to chest., • Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills., • Must be able to speak and understand English.
