Pain, Regenerative Medicine & Men’s Health Location: Mission Valley, San Diego, CA Schedule: Part-time, on-site | 1–2 days per week initially Compensation: $65–$80/hour DOE + performance-based incentives Joy Wellness Partners is seeking a patient-centered NP or PA to join our men’s health and regenerative medicine team in Mission Valley. This role is ideal for a provider with experience—or a strong desire to develop experience—in pain management, musculoskeletal medicine, ultrasound-guided procedures, regenerative medicine, and men’s sexual health. Our existing team provides strong hormone-optimization coverage; this role will primarily expand our ability to serve patients seeking pain, joint, nerve, mobility, erectile-dysfunction, and regenerative-care consultations. About us Joy Wellness Partners is a modern, physician-directed clinic focused exclusively on men’s health. We offer personalized care across hormone optimization, sexual wellness, metabolic health, IV therapy, peptides, regenerative medicine, and longevity-focused care. Our neighboring sister clinic, Herway Health, provides a similarly elevated and comprehensive care model for women. The role This is not a passive or routine clinical position. The successful provider enjoys detailed patient conversations, thoughtful evaluation, procedural medicine, and creating clear treatment roadmaps. You will evaluate patients with joint, tendon, ligament, soft-tissue, nerve, mobility, and chronic-pain concerns; determine when standard care, imaging, physical therapy, medication management, orthopedic evaluation, surgical consultation, or specialty referral is appropriate; and educate suitable patients about clinic-approved treatment options. You will also lead comprehensive men’s sexual-wellness and erectile-dysfunction consultations, including cardiovascular and metabolic risk review, medication and lifestyle assessment, hormone considerations, and appropriate referral when indicated. Core responsibilities • Evaluate and manage patients with musculoskeletal pain, joint concerns, tendon/ligament injuries, soft-tissue complaints, peripheral-nerve symptoms, mobility limitations, and chronic pain., • Conduct diagnostic consultations, examinations, and appropriate clinical screening within scope of practice., • Perform or assist with diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures, including joint, soft-tissue, and nerve-related procedures, within scope of practice, credentialing, medical-director protocol, and applicable law., • Discuss appropriate treatment options, which may include rehabilitation, physical therapy, medication management, imaging, orthopedic or pain-management referral, PRP, A2M/alpha-2-macroglobulin, hydrodissection, prolotherapy or Prolozone, and other clinic-approved regenerative therapies., • Educate patients and support informed decision-making regarding options, risks, expected course of care, alternatives, and realistic goals., • Develop individualized treatment roadmaps that may integrate movement, strength, mobility, nutrition, sleep, metabolic health, and appropriate conventional medical care., • Conduct erectile-dysfunction and sexual-wellness consultations, including assessment of cardiovascular, metabolic, hormonal, medication-related, lifestyle, and psychosocial contributors., • Discuss appropriate sexual-wellness pathways, which may include focused shockwave therapy, PRP-based procedures, hormone optimization, lifestyle support, and other clinic-approved services., • Collaborate with the existing hormone-optimization team as needed; hormone management and TRT support may be part of the role but will not be its primary focus., • Maintain clear, compliant EMR documentation, procedure notes, informed consent, follow-up plans, and patient communication., • Participate in clinical training, protocol development, quality assurance, service-line growth, and patient education.Qualifications, • Active California license as an NP or PA in good standing., • Current DEA registration, or willingness and eligibility to obtain one, when applicable., • Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred., • At least 2 years of clinical experience preferred., • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, documentation habits, and ability to build trust during detailed patient consultations., • Comfort working in a fast-paced, cash-pay, patient-experience-focused environment., • Commitment to evidence-aware, ethical care and willingness to refer when standard medical, surgical, orthopedic, pain-management, urology, cardiology, or mental-health care is indicated.Preferred experience, • Pain-management, orthopedics, sports medicine, PM&R, interventional medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, or procedural-clinic experience., • Musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided injections, joint injections, soft-tissue injections, peripheral-nerve procedures, or hydrodissection., • PRP, BMAC, regenerative medicine, peptide therapy, IV therapy, or other provider-directed wellness procedures., • Men’s sexual wellness, erectile-dysfunction care, focused shockwave therapy, P-Shot/PRP-based procedures, or urology-related care., • TRT, hormone optimization, hormone pellets, and men’s-health experience., • Comfort providing long-form consultations, treatment-plan education, and structured patient follow-up. Direct procedural experience is preferred, but we welcome strong candidates who are willing to complete additional training and competency development.
