Job Description Job Title: IT Manager (contract-to-hire) Location: Norman, OK (on-site) Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 / year depending on experience. Overview: Our client is seeking a versatile and hands-on IT Manager to oversee all aspects of our technology operations. This role leads the IT function end-to-end—strategic planning, daily support, infrastructure management, security, vendor coordination, and project execution. As a small-team environment, this position requires someone who can both set direction and roll up their sleeves to get the work done. Key Responsibilities: • Own the overall IT strategy, planning, and day-to-day operations for the organization., • Provide Tier 1–3 support across end-user devices, applications, networks, and systems., • Manage and maintain servers, network infrastructure, cloud services, and backups., • Administer core systems such as Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint management tools., • Oversee cybersecurity practices, including patching, monitoring, threat response, and policy upkeep., • Lead IT projects such as hardware refreshes, system upgrades, migrations, and process improvements., • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement for hardware, software, and services., • Create and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, inventories, and lifecycle plans., • Monitor system health, performance, and availability to ensure a stable technology environment., • 5+ years of progressive IT experience with broad system, network, and support exposure., • Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, and virtualization., • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), backup solutions, and security tools., • Ability to manage multiple priorities, troubleshoot complex issues, and work independently., • Excellent communication and customer-service skills; comfortable supporting all levels of the organization.
