About Magnolia Wealth Strategies \n Magnolia Wealth Strategies is a general agency of MassMutual, serving individuals, families, and small businesses across the Gulf South through 5 core office locations and more than 40 detached offices across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. \n Magnolia Wealth is one of the industry's premier distribution organizations, known for strong Advisors and holistic financial planning. We're a place where Advisors come to build their business, not just do it, guided by five core values: Be 100% Accountable, Do the Right Thing, Grow or Die, Have Fun, and Win. \n Our culture combines a holistic, team-based approach with an entrepreneurial spirit. Advisors are backed by specialists in investments and insurance while having the opportunity to build a practice tailored to their clients. New Advisors are supported through the Magnolia Way, our structured development path providing hands-on training, mentorship, and clear milestones from licensing through their first three years. \n The Opportunity \n Magnolia Wealth Strategies is seeking a Sales Recruiter to build and develop a pipeline of prospective Financial Advisors within an assigned market. \n This is a high-activity, relationship-driven recruiting role that operates much more like sales and business development than traditional HR recruiting. You will identify prospective Advisors, initiate conversations, uncover career motivations, build relationships, generate referrals, and move qualified candidates through the recruiting process. \n This is not a passive, post-a-job-and-review-applications position. Success requires proactively creating your own candidate activity through outbound outreach, networking, referrals, community relationships, sourcing, and consistent follow-up. \n Because the Financial Advisor opportunity is entrepreneurial and performance-driven, we are specifically looking for someone who understands the mindset of a commission-based sales professional. Candidates should have experience either recruiting for commission-based sales opportunities or personally working in a commission-based sales role. \n If you enjoy prospecting, starting conversations, developing relationships, managing a pipeline, and working toward measurable goals, this role may be a strong fit. \n What You'll Do \n\n • Build and manage a consistent pipeline of prospective Financial Advisors within your assigned market.\n, • Prospect for candidates through direct outreach, databases, referrals, social media, job boards, networking, events, and community relationships.\n, • Conduct personalized outbound outreach to prospective candidates rather than relying primarily on inbound applicants.\n, • Build relationships with centers of influence, community partners, educational institutions, professionals, Advisors, and employees to generate referrals.\n, • Conduct discovery conversations to understand candidates' career goals, motivations, experience, business-development potential, coachability, resilience, and overall fit.\n, • Follow up consistently and cultivate candidates who may not be ready to make an immediate career move.\n, • Manage candidates through the recruiting pipeline and maintain clear next steps and follow-up commitments.\n, • Track prospecting activity, candidate stages, sources, follow-up dates, and pipeline results in the Agency Tracking System (ATS).\n, • Use pipeline and conversion data to determine which sourcing strategies are producing the strongest candidates and adjust activity accordingly.\n, • Partner with Branch Leaders, Advisors, Marketing, training leaders, licensing and onboarding teams, and Home Office recruiting resources.\n, • Represent Magnolia professionally in the market and confidently communicate the Financial Advisor opportunity, culture, development resources, and entrepreneurial career path.\n\n What Success Looks Like \n\n • You consistently create new candidate conversations instead of waiting for applications.\n, • You maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified Financial Advisor prospects.\n, • You are comfortable working toward measurable activity, pipeline, and hiring goals.\n, • You build referral sources and relationships that generate ongoing candidate opportunities.\n, • You follow up consistently and know how to nurture prospects over time.\n, • Candidates receive timely communication, thoughtful discovery, and clear next steps.\n, • Your ATS and pipeline are organized, accurate, and current.\n, • You use results and market feedback to continuously improve your sourcing and outreach strategy.\n, • You develop a strong understanding of Magnolia's business, the Financial Advisor career, and the characteristics associated with successful Advisors.\n\n What You Bring \n\n • 2+ years of experience in recruiting, sales, business development, talent sourcing, or another relationship-driven role.\n, • Required: Experience either recruiting for commission-based sales professionals OR personally working in a commission-based sales role.\n, • Proven ability to prospect, conduct outbound outreach, generate conversations, and develop relationships.\n, • Comfort working in a goal-oriented environment where activity and pipeline results are measured.\n, • Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with prospective candidates.\n, • Ability to ask thoughtful questions, uncover motivations, and determine whether an opportunity aligns with someone's goals.\n, • Persistence and discipline with follow-up, including with prospects who are not immediately ready to make a move.\n, • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple candidates and opportunities simultaneously.\n, • Experience using a CRM, ATS, or other pipeline-management technology.\n, • Ability to use activity and conversion data to improve results.\n, • Experience recruiting or selling within financial services, insurance, wealth management, professional services, or another entrepreneurial sales environment is a plus.\n, • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.\n, • Willingness to travel within the assigned market and occasionally accommodate events or candidate schedules outside standard business hours.\n\n Why You'll Enjoy This Role \n This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys the hunt as much as the hire. \n You'll spend your time identifying people, opening doors, starting conversations, generating referrals, and developing relationships with prospective Financial Advisors. You'll have ownership of your market and pipeline while working toward clear recruiting goals. \n You don't need to come from traditional HR. If you have succeeded in sales, business development, or recruiting commission-based professionals and know how to prospect, follow up, build trust, and move people through a decision-making process, those skills can translate well to this opportunity. \n Compensation and Benefits \n\n • $60,000–$65,000 annual base salary\n, • Incentive opportunity tied to eligible hires, desired Advisor mix, candidate quality, consistent execution, and achievement of approved recruiting goals\n, • Subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance\n, • Company-paid life insurance\n, • Short-term disability\n, • 401(k) plan with employer match\n, • Paid time off\n\n Equal Employment Opportunity \n Magnolia Wealth Strategies is an Equal Employment Opportunity ("EEO") employer. It has been, and will continue to be, a fundamental policy of Magnolia Wealth Strategies not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, pregnancy or pregnancy-related conditions, genetic information, veteran or military status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. \n This policy applies to all aspects of employment, including hiring, promotion, demotion, compensation, training, working conditions, transfer, job assignment, benefits, layoff, and termination.
