Job Description We are in search of a Class B Delivery Driver to join our growing team. Starting Pay Rate - $25.65 per hour Responsibilities Include: • Operate and safely drive assigned delivery vehicle, • Pick-up loads and organize goods in an ordered, • Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage, • Safely and efficiently handle and unload goods at selected destinations, • Maintain the predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries, • Communicate with dispatch as needed, • Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document, • Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip, • Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered, • Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs, • Will possess a Valid Class B driver's license required, • High school or GED equivalent required, • Experience with Local Deliveries/Inside deliveries, • Experience driving Straight truck (bobtail 24ft to 26ft) Manual transmission preferred, • Able to use lift gate, operate pallet jacks. Use hand truck & dollies., • 2+ years of delivery driver experience, • Driving record must meet company safety standards, • Ability to pass pre-placement drug testing, • Must be able to maintain a DOT Medical Card, required for the role., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time, • Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc., • Proficient using GPS and other routing systems This is a union position with a starting pay rate of $25.65/hour in accordance with the CBA.
