Job DescriptionOverview: We are seeking a versatile Transport Driver / Heavy Equipment Technician to join our material handling team. This role combines safe and efficient transport of heavy equipment with hands-on maintenance and repair support in the shop. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL license, proven experience with load securement, and a mechanical background working on heavy equipment. Why You'll Love It Here: • Company van, • No weekends, • First shift, • Full benefits including medical, dental, vision and pensionKey Responsibilities:, • Safely operate company trucks to transport heavy equipment to and from job sites, facilities, and customer locations, • Load and unload heavy equipment, securing loads with chains and straps in compliance with DOT safety standards, • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, documenting any issues or concerns, • Conduct light mechanical work, diagnostics, and routine maintenance on heavy equipment when not driving, • Assist shop technicians with equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and service tasks as needed, • Maintain accurate records for transport and repair activities, • Provide professional, courteous service during equipment deliveries and customer interactions, • Adhere to all company policies, DOT regulations, and safety proceduresQualifications:, • Valid Class A CDL license required, • Experience transporting and securing heavy equipment with chains and straps, • Mechanical aptitude with experience in heavy equipment or diesel repair preferred, • Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, and equipment in varied environments, • Strong knowledge of DOT and load securement regulations, • Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work independently or as part of a team Powered by JazzHR PWCe0FOWFZ
