Job DescriptionRestaurant Assistant General Manager Job Summary The Restaurant Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily food and beverage operations while delivering a high-touch, elevated guest experience. This role helps lead service teams, ensures operational excellence, and supports financial and administrative functions within a dynamic, member-focused environment. Key Responsibilities • Assist in managing all daily restaurant and food & beverage operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house coordination, • Support hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management of service and support staff, • Maintain exceptional service standards and ensure consistent execution across all dining areas and events, • Partner with the General Manager to manage labor, payroll, and cost controls, • Oversee service execution during peak periods, private events, and special functions, • Address guest and member concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction, • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations, • Support inventory management, purchasing, and vendor coordination, • Review operational reports and assist with implementing performance improvement plans, • Act as Manager-on-Duty in the absence of the General ManagerQualifications, • 3+ years of restaurant or hospitality management experience, preferably in an upscale dining or private club environment, • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams, • Excellent communication, organization, and guest-relations skills, • Working knowledge of labor management, scheduling, and cost controls, • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven environment, • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidaysPreferred Skills, • Experience in private clubs, banquet operations, or event-driven environments, • Strong floor presence and service recovery abilities, • Detail-oriented with a high standard for professionalism and consistency
