The Opportunity GoldSilver (874K YouTube subscribers) and Wealthion (354K subscribers) are two distinct businesses & financial media brands under one parent company (Gold Bullion International) —GoldSilver focused on precious metals and sound money, Wealthion on wealth protection & allocation. Together, the two channels currently publish roughly 10 long-form videos and 40+ short-form clips every week and their media extends beyond video into podcast, web, and occasional print. We're hiring the first VP of Media to own content strategy, editorial judgment, and production quality across both brands. You'll inherit a lean, already-productive team—two producers, editor, and on-camera hosts—and be expected to find and close the gaps in it, not just keep the trains running. Reporting directly to the Head of D2C, you act as the editorial balance to commercial strategy— ensuring our content maintains independent credibility while aligning with broader business goals. Ultimately, this role exists to grow the business, not just the audience. Subscriber counts and view counts are inputs, not the goal—the mandate is media that builds durable trust in both brands and measurably moves the numbers behind them: audience growth that converts, and a stronger case for the businesses every quarter. This is a build role wrapped in a run role. The production calendar doesn't stop while you ramp up, and the calls on where to add capacity, what to centralize across brands, and what to keep separate are yours to make, defend, and revisit as the business changes. What You'll Own Content Strategy, Packaging & Production • Set editorial & content strategy and production standards for both brands—distinct enough to protect each one's voice, consistent enough to justify sharing infrastructure where it helps., • Own data-driven topic planning: use performance analytics, search/trend data, and the macro calendar (FOMC, CPI, gold price moves) to decide what gets covered next, rather than reacting to news as it breaks., • Define and evolve a small number of recurring franchises per that build appointment viewing — the goal is habitual viewers, not a feed of one-off uploads. Caribbean Life Editor Responsibilities: • Oversee the day-to-day editorial operations of Caribbean Life, • Support outreach efforts to readers, community leaders, elected officials, organizations, and sources throughout the Caribbean community including attending local events, • Assign stories and deadlines to writers and contributors, • Proof all stories in the website CMS, including editing copy and headlines and ensuring SEO best practices are maintained before publication, • Oversee and assign freelancers to cover assignments, process their copy/photos, and publish content online, • Build the print publication in collaboration with production using WordPress2Print and Master Page Builder templates, • Procure copy for columns, opinion pieces, and feature stories and ensure they are published online and in print, • Procure images and collaborate with designers on photo pages, editorial layouts, and special sections, • Write stories when time permits, • Participate in regular meetings with editors across Schneps Media to share story ideas and coordinate story syndication, • Recruit staff, interns, freelancers, and contributors for the team, • Review site traffic, analytics, and audience engagement metrics, • Assist with content development around events and community initiatives, • Coordinate with the sales team and leadership when needed Caribbean Life Editor Necessary Skills & Attributes • Strong knowledge of the Caribbean American community in New York City, • Excellent writing and editing skills, • At least 3-5 years of experience working for a news organization, • Knowledge of Wordpress, • Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, X and other social media platforms, • A multi-tasker who can work under strict deadlines, • Strong written and verbal communication skills Caribbean Life Editor Benefits Competitive salary (range from $50-$60K) Medical, dental and vision insurance 401K match Flexible spending
