Job Description Job Description Title: Director of Global Organizational Excellence Department: Global Quality Reports To: Senior Director, Global Quality Location: Flexible / Multi-Site / Hybrid (Global) Position Type: Full-Time Position Summary The Director of Global Organizational Excellence is responsible for improving process capability, stability, and systemic performance across all GTI Fabrication sites. This role drives Lean and Six Sigma deployment, ensures disciplined execution of APQP and product realization processes, and strengthens Built-In Quality through robust PFMEA, Control Plans, and process validation. The role focuses on performance improvement, prevention, and process capability, not ISO compliance or daily production quality execution. Key Responsibilities Continuous Improvement Leadership • Lead global deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving (A3, 8D), • Improve process stability, flow, and predictability across sites, • Reduce variation, waste, scrap, and rework through data-driven improvement, • Establish standard work and operational discipline, • Own the global APQP framework and standards, • Ensure disciplined execution of:, • Feasibility reviews, • Design & process risk assessment, • PFMEA development and maintenance, • Control Plan development and effectiveness, • Process validation and readiness, • Ensure cross-functional ownership of APQP deliverables, • Strengthenprocess-based defect prevention, • Improve operator-driven quality systems (OAP / layered quality), • Ensure controls are designed into the process, not inspected in later, • Drive process capability culture (Cp,Cpk,Ppk), • Establish statistical thinking across operations, • Ensure process controls are measurable and effective, • Lead systemic improvement across Phoenix, Buffalo, Goodyear, and Monterrey, • Deploy global standard work for key quality and manufacturing processes, • Eliminatevariation in how processes are executed across sites, • Develop Lean / Six Sigma culture and training roadmap, • Coach Quality Managers and engineers in structured problem solving, • Improve PFMEA / Control Plan competency across sites, • Improved process stability and capability across all sites, • Effective and disciplined APQP execution, • Strong PFMEA and Control Plan integrity, • Measurable reduction in defects, variation, and waste, • Mature Built-In Quality system, • Bachelor’s degree inEngineering, Quality, Operations, or related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience., • 8+years experiencein Continuous Improvement, APQP, or Process Quality, • Strong experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, and process validation, • Strong problem-solving and root causeexpertise, • Experience in manufacturing or fabrication environment, • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or higher), • ASQ – Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational ExcellenceCertification, • APQP / PPAP experience (automotive or structured manufacturing preferred), • Experience in multi-site or global operations, • Welding Experience and/or container construction is a plus!, • Statistical analysis / process capabilityexpertise, • Systems thinking and process stability focus, • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, • Ability to influence functions and sites, • Prevention-based thinking vs detection, • Leadership in change and operational discipline, • Reduction in scrap, rework, and defect rates, • Improvement in process capability and stability, • PFMEA / Control Plan effectiveness, • First-pass yield improvement, • Reduction in repeat failures / chronic issues, • CI project impact (financial and operational) This role has authority to: • Define and standardize global CI and APQP processes, • Require improvement actions for unstable processes, • Escalate systemic process risks, • Drive cross-site improvement initiatives, • Establish global PFMEA / Control Plan standards
