This position will be a hybrid position, but require travel to our Raleigh and Rocky Mount office to meet with team. Position Drive forecast accuracy and demand visibility across Hampton Farms’ portfolio of peanut, nut, and snack products. This role analyzes current and historical sales trends, promotional activity, and market data to develop a consensus-based demand forecast at the brand, pack-size, and location-SKU level. The Demand Planner partners cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Supply Planning teams to ensure demand signals are accurately captured and communicated across the organization. Pay range included on posting is based on candidate's experience working in related field. Responsibilities Demand Forecasting & Analytics • Build, maintain, and continuously improve statistical baseline forecasts by integrating:, • Customer forecasts, POS data, and replenishment signals from key retail and club-channel accounts, • Commercial team input on new item launches, distribution gains/losses, and seasonal promotions, • Marketing and trade promotion calendars (in-store displays, FSIs, digital campaigns), • Historical shipment data and seasonal demand patterns specific to the peanut and snack industry, • Identify and reconcile gaps between statistical and commercial forecasts; present root-cause analysis and recommended adjustments to leadership., • Support the Demand Planning Manager as the demand-side liaison between Sales, Supply Planning, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure new business opportunities and volume changes are vetted, quantified, and reflected in the plan., • Support the Demand Planning Manager in the demand review portion of the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle, providing analysis and forecast input that align with budgets and strategic business objectives., • Co-develop and maintain demand planning dashboards and KPIs including forecast accuracy (MAPE/bias), demand variability, and service-level impact., • Incorporate geographic and channel-level granularity into forecasts to optimize distribution planning across Hampton Farms’ multi-plant network., • Identify process improvement opportunities within demand planning workflows, champion automation and best practices., • Lead ad-hoc analytical projects as required (e.g., new product launch modeling, customer profitability analysis, SKU rationalization, promotions). Qualifications Required • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field., • 2+ years of experience generating statistical demand forecasts utilizing multiple data sources in a CPG, food manufacturing, or wholesale/distribution environment., • Working proficiency in ERP systems; NetSuite experience strongly preferred., • Proficiency in statistical modeling, demand planning software, and the use of AI (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, Noodle AI, Logility, or equivalent)., • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, INDEX/MATCH, Power Query, data visualization)., • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations., • Experience in the peanut, tree nut, or broader snack food industry., • Familiarity with private labels and co-manufacturing demand planning dynamics., • Exposure to BI/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)., • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or IBF CPF certification. Travel - 15% travel to locations and offices to meet with team. Work Environment - Works in an office environment, using forecasting tools, spreadsheets, and ERP systems to analyze sales and inventory data. The role involves frequent collaboration with supply chain, sales, marketing, and procurement teams to ensure accurate demand planning. While primarily desk-based, it may require occasional meetings, presentations, and coordination with suppliers or distribution centers.
