American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in San Bernadino, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 11/05/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Position is in a hospital Emergency Department with 14 beds including 3 fast track beds, 2 trauma/code bays, and a behavioral health holding room, • Patient population is 70% pediatric along with adults, behavioral health, sepsis, ETOH, and underserved patients, • Typical patient volume is 220-250 visits per day, • 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required, • First to float if floating becomes necessary, • Uses Cerner PowerChart EMR and experience with Cerner is preferred, • Staff supports include a charge RN, EMTs, security officers present 24/7, and in-house pharmacy until midnight, • Telemetry/monitoring is available with 8 beds monitored, • No call requirements, • Three-shift unit orientation, • A high-stress environment with a large behavioral health and pediatric population, including frequent aggressive and behavioral cases, • Candidates should have strong situational awareness and be prepared for disaster management scenarios, • Security presence is maintained 24/7 in the ED, • Laboratory draws are performed by both nursing staff and phlebotomists, • Scrub color for RNs is blue, • Holiday coverage includes one major and one minor holiday per contract, • Returning candidates must not have worked for any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and Dignity, in the past year, • COVID-19 vaccination required for all staff\n \n Requirements\n, • Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration, • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience required, • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, COVID-19 vaccination, • Experience with Cerner EMR is strongly preferred, • Must be able to provide two professional references: one supervisor reference within the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from the past 3 years, • Must provide a copy of current driver’s license for consideration\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
