Job Description NOW HIRING MATERIAL HANDLERS FOR A MEDICAL DEVICE MANUFACTURING COMPANY! Location - Sorrento Valley, CA Shift - 2nd Shift (1:30PM - 12:00AM Tuesday - Friday) Pay Rate - $19.76/HR Job Description - The material handler will perform shipping, receiving, and inventory control duties in the warehouse. Responsibilities - • Prepare documents, instructions, and other required documentation to coordinate shipping and freighting of pumps, cartridges, and materials., • Pack and prepare company products and other materials for shipping in accordance with customer requests., • Maintain records of orders shipped, documenting weights and shipping charges., • Ensure documentation complies with governmental and regulatory agencies requirements., • Schedule and coordinate shipment deadlines with Customer Service to ensure shipments and freights arrive at the appropriate destination within the determined timeline., • Maintain computerized shipping systems, 100 lb. scale, 300 lb. hand truck, pallet jack, bubble pack dispenser, and bander., • Receive incoming materials, services, and supplies by unpacking and checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices., • Maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items., • Transfer approved materials into their proper stockroom locations or deliver packages to internal customers., • Coordinate incoming shipments of goods authorized for return with employees in Customer Service, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance., • Receive product from quarantine and production into finished goods, verify accuracy against shop order or sterile processing log, and report discrepancies to the supervisor., • Examine stocks and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines., • Perform daily cycle count and ensure 100% accuracy of all finished goods inventory., • 2 years of shipping and receiving experience with material handling in a manufacturing environment., • Data entry experience with ERP systems., • Experience in an FDA regulated environment., • Experience using pallet jacks, forklifts, and dollies as well as automated shipping equipment such as the FedEx café., • Good oral and written communication skills., • Basic math skills., • Good interpersonal skills., • Demonstrated word processing and data entry skills., • Familiarity with GMP environment., • Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift Certification., • Ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory CA driving record., • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
