Job Description Centralized Support ( Float Pool) RN Abilene, TX + $5,000 Relocation + $12,500 Sign on bonus Abilene, TX | Full-Time, Permanent Shift: Nights 3x12's 7pm-7am Offering $5,000 Relocation + $2,500 of $12,500 Sign on bonus Payable 1st Check Incentives: • $12,500 Sign-On Bonus, • $5,000 Relocation Assistance, • $7,500 of the sign-on bonus paid on your first paycheck, • Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, retirement, etc.), • Supportive, collaborative work environment with opportunities for career growth Key Functions of a Centralized Support RN • Float Support Across Units, • Works in different units (e.g., med-surg, stepdown, ICU, ED, womens services) depending on patient census and staffing needs., • Provides direct patient care wherever the greatest need exists., • Staffing Relief, • Covers for staff shortages, unexpected call-ins, or surge situations (such as high patient volume or acuity spikes)., • Helps maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios., • Clinical Resource Role, • Brings a broad clinical skill set that can be applied in varied settings., • Acts as a knowledgeable resource for unit nurses, especially in crisis or high-acuity situations., • Patient Safety & Quality, • Supports hospitals in meeting quality and safety standards by filling staffing gaps., • Contributes to throughput and patient flow by ensuring units are adequately staffed., • Special Projects / System Support (sometimes part of the role), • May assist with hospital-wide initiatives (e.g., onboarding, staff education, policy rollouts)., • RN license, usually BSN-preferred., • 23+ years of broad clinical experience across multiple specialties., • Strong adaptability and critical thinking skills. Think of a Centralized Support RN as a highly skilled, flexible nurse on call for the hospitals staffing grid. They may be permanently assigned to a float pool, centralized staffing office, or even function as part of a regional float team across multiple facilities in a health system
