Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Responsible for complying with food safety, food defense, quality, safety, GMP's, HAACP, allergen, chemical control, house keeping and sanitation as well as other regulations required, • Monitor the production process, respond to "Floor Calls" to the production area when line problems and/or line stoppages occurs. Help to assist and educate production employees on the proper operation and care of their equipment. Inspect damaged equipment and generate repair authorizations based upon inspections., • Work with production team to make rapid , educated decisions regarding the issue at hand and trouble shoot systems, resolve issues by providing investigation, analysis, test, and follow-up where appropriate, • Participate and direct troubleshooting activities in the event of equipment failure including participation in failure analysis, problem solving and prevention, • Ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner. Including the following: Work Orders, Parts Usage Reports, Parts Order Forms, Daily Tracking Sheets, Preventive Maintenance Procedures, LOTO, Out of Service/Defective Tags, • Responsible for ensuring that "right first time" Quality is always a priority and that quality is never compromised, • Follow the facilities food and safety and food quality programs to assure compliance and achieve desired results, • Reports all non-compliance, product protection and food safety issues to management when encountered, • Ensuring that the department adheres to the strictest levels of hygiene and cleanliness and adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations, • Be familiar with all equipment and knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic operation theory. Apply general maintenance skills including basic troubleshooting in order to maintain high plant efficiencies while minimizing the creation of waste and rework, • Maintain inventory of critical and consumable parts/materials in support of the maintenance, research and manufacturing, • Daily receipt and storage of incoming engineering supplies from suppliers into the Maintenance Management System and physically placing these items in the engineering stores, • Identification of parts, packaging of parts into smaller multiple stock-keeping units for easy identification and location, • Responsible for periodic inventory counts, making general adjustments to inventory when shortages/overages occur, processing returns and performing basic queries to find parts, purchase orders, requisitions, etc, • Housekeeping duties for prevention of injury and damage to property will also be required (relocating bins and peg hooks, maintaining clear aisle ways, picking up spilled parts, straightening up fixtures, etc.), • Insert changes and delete obsolete data from files and maintain library of technical documents and related material in accordance with Customer and Company requirements to include vendor/supplier catalog file, • Maintain the building and ground of the facility. Complete all scheduled preventive maintenance procedures and tasks on related equipment ensuring the operating condition of all building related equipment (compressors, HVAC, augers, conveyors, coders, hoists, metal detectors, etc.), • Work with Suppliers and Vendors to ensure all building and maintenance and support functions are working properly, • Work with Inspectors to ensure the building and grounds meet all OSHA, FDA City, State, and Federal guidelines, • High school diploma and/or GED, • 3-5 years general labor experience, preferably in construction equipment, rental, or light industrial industries, • General knowledge of gas and diesel engines, assorted tools, power equipment and various machine layouts, • Understands the importance of time management, standards of operating procedures, owner's manuals and product/warning labels, • Ability to operate large, heavy machinery and handle assorted tools properly and safely, • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.
