Job Description Low Voltage Technician – Structured Cabling, DAS, Security Systems Location: Field-based (Hudson Valley / NYC Metro Area) Employment Type: Full-time About Us: The RedTop Group is a fast-growing technology infrastructure company serving commercial, government, and institutional clients. We specialize in structured cabling, distributed antenna systems (DAS), electronic security, and access control. Our team takes pride in high-quality installs, attention to detail, and delivering on complex mission-critical projects. What You’ll Do: • Install, terminate, and test Cat6, fiber optic, and coax cabling, • Install and service access control, IP camera, and intrusion detection systems, • Perform CW and sweep testing on DAS installations (training provided if needed), • Interpret blueprints and construction drawings, • Use tools such as Fluke testers, fusion splicers, cable analyzers, and lifts, • Maintain neat, code-compliant installations and job site safety, • Work independently and as part of a team to meet project milestones, • Travel to job sites throughout NY, NJ, and PA (per diem and travel pay as applicable) Must Haves: • 2+ years experience in low voltage installation, • Strong knowledge of EIA/TIA cabling standards, • Reliable transportation and clean driver’s license, • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders, and in crawlspaces, • U.S. Work Authorization Nice to Haves (but not required): • OSHA 30 certification, • Experience with DAS (iBwave knowledge a plus), • Manufacturer certifications (e.g. Genetec, Lenel, Axis), • Familiarity with Bluebeam, Smartsheet, or Procore, • Military or government site experience
