You will sit at the intersection of Legal, Product, Engineering, and Finance, and your job is to make sure our regulatory obligations are met on time, with the right evidence, and without constant escalation to the GC. You will manage license maintenance and regulatory reporting, build and evidence internal controls, coordinate cross‑functional compliance workstreams, and act as the operational backbone of a Legal and Compliance function that is scaling fast across multiple regulated jurisdictions. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 h3License Maintenance and Regulatory Reporting /h3 ul liOwn the regulatory reporting calendar across all active licenses (Banco de España, CNMV, FCA, FinCEN, and others as we expand), ensuring all periodic filings are prepared and submitted on time. /li liGather and consolidate information from internal stakeholders—Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations—in response to regulatory requests and supervisory queries. /li liPrepare and review regulatory reports, returns, and supervisory submissions, coordinating with external counsel where required. /li liTrack license conditions and ongoing obligations, flagging changes in regulatory requirements and maintaining a live compliance calendar. /li /ul h3Internal Controls and Evidence /h3 ul liMaintain and evidence Crossmint’s internal controls framework, ensuring controls are documented, tested, and audit‑ready across relevant frameworks (MiCA, PSD2, DORA, SOC 2, GDPR). /li liSupport Legal and Compliance in identifying control gaps and coordinating remediation across the relevant business owners. /li liManage the production and organization of compliance documentation, policies, and procedures, ensuring they remain current and accessible. /li liOwn audit readiness for regulatory examinations and third‑party audits, coordinating evidence collection and stakeholder responses. /li /ul h3Regulatory Project Management /h3 ul liLead cross‑functional implementation workstreams for new regulatory requirements and license applications, owning timelines, dependencies, and internal accountability. /li liChase and coordinate internal stakeholders—including Engineering and Product—to deliver compliance requirements on time, without defaulting to the GC for every escalation. /li liManage relationships with external counsel, PSPs, banking partners, and third‑party vendors on compliance‑related workstreams. /li liSupport the opening of banking accounts and onboarding of regulated service providers across jurisdictions. /li /ul h3Cross‑Functional Compliance Embedding /h3 ul liWork directly with Engineering and Product to ensure regulatory constraints are understood and reflected at the design and build stage—including data flows, API architecture, access controls, and incident management processes. /li liCoordinate the update of customer‑facing materials (disclosures, terms, risk warnings) in response to regulatory changes. /li liSupport the Financial Crime function as needed, including AML/CFT‑related controls documentation and CDD processes. /li /ul h3About You /h3 ul li4–7 years of experience in compliance operations or financial services project management, within fintech, payments, capital markets, or regulated financial services. /li liDemonstrable experience managing regulatory reporting and license maintenance obligations—periodic returns, supervisory requests, condition tracking. /li liStructured project management skills: ability to run multiple concurrent workstreams, maintain delivery plans, manage dependencies, and hold stakeholders accountable without formal authority. /li liTechnical fluency sufficient to work credibly with Engineering and Product: comfortable reading technical documentation, understanding system architecture, and translating regulatory requirements into technical constraints. /li liExperience maintaining and evidencing internal controls frameworks (DORA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or equivalent). /li liFluent English, both written and spoken.
