At LHH Executive Search, we are partnering with a leading international retail company to appoint a Global Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) who will play a pivotal role in shaping and accelerating the company’s next phase of global growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CCO will act as a key strategic partner, aligning commercial priorities with the broader business vision while representing the voice of the customer at the highest level of the organization. As a member of the Executive Committee, this role carries full responsibility for defining and delivering the commercial agenda across all markets and channels, with a clear mandate to drive significant business growth and scale the organization over the coming years. Role Overview The CCO will lead the global commercial function end-to-end, defining and deploying the commercial strategy across all countries worldwide, overseeing a fully integrated omnichannel ecosystem that includes retail, wholesale, franchise, and e-commerce. The role requires balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring consistent global standards while allowing for local market agility and adaptation. The focus will be strongly oriented towards growth acceleration, market expansion, and unlocking new commercial opportunities across geographies and channels. Operating in a brand-led and style-sensitive environment, the CCO will be expected to reinforce a consistent and differentiated brand experience while driving performance. Key Accountabilities • Define and drive the global commercial strategy, translating business objectives into clear priorities, execution plans, and measurable outcomes., • Lead the global growth agenda, with a clear focus on scaling the business, expanding into priority markets, and delivering ambitious revenue targets., • Drive the execution of the global commercial strategy across all markets, ensuring alignment between central guidelines and local market realities., • Lead all commercial channels holistically, ensuring alignment and performance across retail, wholesale, franchise, and digital ecosystems., • Own and optimize the global retail footprint, enhancing productivity, customer experience, and expansion strategies, particularly in key strategic markets., • Lead and develop the global wholesale channel, strengthening strategic partnerships, improving commercial performance, and ensuring consistent brand execution across markets., • Design and scale international franchise operations, with a clear focus on driving efficiency, consistency, and targeted expansion., • Accelerate digital and e-commerce growth, leveraging data, CRM, and omnichannel capabilities to improve customer engagement, conversion, and lifetime value., • Establish robust pricing and promotional frameworks, balancing competitiveness with brand positioning, particularly within selective and brand-driven distribution environments., • Take full ownership of the global commercial P&L, driving performance through disciplined planning, active management, and strong decision-making., • Leverage data and market intelligence to anticipate trends, refine strategies, and continuously adapt to evolving market dynamics. Leadership & Impact • Build and inspire a high-performing international commercial organization, fostering accountability, autonomy, and a performance-driven culture., • Lead senior commercial leaders across regions and channels, ensuring alignment, clarity of objectives, and execution excellence., • Act as a key connector across functions (Brand, Product, Supply Chain, Finance, Technology)., • Contribute actively to the company’s strategic agenda at Executive Committee level, supporting transformation, growth, and organizational evolution., • Provide clear and actionable insights to the CEO and Board on commercial performance, risks, and growth opportunities globally. Candidate Profile • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline. An MBA or equivalent executive education is highly valued., • +15 years of experience in senior commercial leadership roles within complex, international organizations., • Strong background in international retail, with deep exposure to multi-channel environments and experience leading omnichannel ecosystems (retail, wholesale, franchise and digital)., • Solid understanding of brand-driven environments, particularly within fashion, luxury, or premium consumer sectors., • Demonstrated track record of driving growth, scaling operations, and accelerating commercial performance at a global level., • Proven experience operating at Executive Committee level, with the ability to deliver impact from day one., • Strong experience leading global and multicultural organizations across multiple markets., • Hands-on experience developing and scaling commercial operations in the US market, with a strong understanding of go-to-market strategies., • Exposure to Latin America, particularly in growth and expansion contexts., • Strong financial acumen, including direct ownership of global commercial P&L, budgeting, and performance management., • Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus., • Based in Madrid or willing to relocate, with high availability to travel internationally.
