Gerente de Centro de Distribución y logística (Banyeres del Penedés) Nuestro cliente es una cadena de tiendas de productos de descuento no alimentario con unas 3.000 tiendas en Europa, y con una presencia consolidada en Iberia desde 2022 (79 tiendas). Opera con más de 6 000 productos en alta rotación, 14 categorías, (150 novedades semanales) que van desde juguetes, productos para el hogar, bricolaje, jardinería y alimentación, ofreciendo grandes descuentos. En junio de 2025, ha inaugurado su primer centro de distribución (externalizado) en Illescas (58 820 m²), que abastecerá hasta 210 tiendas en España y Portugal, creando entre 300 y 440 empleos y destacando por su certificación BREEAM “Outstanding” y diseño sostenible. Desean abrir un segundo centro de distribución propio en Banyeres del Penedés que sustituiría al primero por lo que desean incorporar un Gerente de Centro de Distribución que participe en en el proceso de creacion y posterior gestion junto con el Regional Supply Chain Manager (contratación de managers, formación de equipos y implementación de procesos) del Centro de Distribución en Banyeres. PUESTO : Gerente de distribución y logistica ubicacion: Banyeres del Penedés (tarragona) Reporta a: Regional supply chain Manager, INCORPORACIÓN :Septiembre 2025 MISIÓN DEL PUESTO We’re offering an exciting chance to become the DC Manager of our new Distribution Center in Banyeres del Penedès. You’ll jump in during the final build phase, drive the setup, and lead the recruitment and training of your team—getting everything ready to supply over 200 stores. This site will quickly grow into a 3-shift operation with around 300 colleagues. Like this? Keep reading! Your Job The mission of the DC Manager will be to supervise, manage the set up and run the DC in Banyeres. With over 3,000 stores across Europe, 16 distribution centers, hubs, and cross docks—and an ambitious growth plan—our supply chain never stands still. Your first focus will be to get up to speed quickly by supporting our international colleagues involved in the build phase and selecting your local team. You do this with one goal in mind: delivering the best possible service to our stores (50 stores at the beguinning but will grow to 200). While we currently operate an outsourced DC near Madrid, DC Banyeres will be fully managed by us. You’ll report to the Regional Supply Chain Manager and be part of the Regional Management Team for Spain, Portugal, Italy and Slovakia. To stay connected, you’ll visit our other DCs—including our very first DC in the Netherlands, where our Head Office is located. This is your chance to learn how we run our operations, how our company works and thinks, and build strong relationships, so we only need to invent the wheel once. Once the DC is operational, you’ll lead your teams and oversee daily deliveries. You’ll turn start-up decisions into long-term success. As the site stabilizes and store numbers grow, you’ll lead the site through shift model development, scaling from initial operations to a full 3-shift setup as volumes grow This is a team effort—with you at the helm. Together with your team you’ll build a safe, secure, and high-performing operation aligned with company standards. Our company´s Supply Chain operates in a matrix structure, meaning you’ll work closely with our European teams in Process, Transport, Human Resources and Facilities to actively secure the right support for your site. Agenda for 2025-2026: While they are constructing the Warehouse in Banyeres, the DC Manager Will hire the rest of management team (4 managers) and travel and visit other distribution centers including the original one in Holland. By February 2026 it is expected they will rent an office and they start hiring and the rest of the team (40 hires) Furthermore : Operational Management • Lead all DC operations and teams to ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-efficient operations., • Drive, jointly with central in the lead, process improvements and implement logistics procedures to boost performance and consistency., • Recruit, onboard, and develop your team in close cooperation with the HR Business Partner., • Foster a culture of continuous development, ownership, and performance improvement., • Lead all site-level projects as Project Manager., • Represent the DC as a project member in European initiatives. We operate across 7 countries and will expand further in the years ahead. You’ll work closely with our international colleagues, as well as central teams in Process, IT, Facilities, and Transport. You bring: • A master’s degree in Logistics, Operations, or a related field, • 7–8+ years of experience in retail logistics, ideally with a few years in a similar role, • Solid understanding of transportation and how it fits in the bigger picture, • Experience with ERP, WMS, and MS Office tools, • Strong background in labor relations and working with unions, with a clear results focus, • Familiarity with European DC networks and ways of working, • Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written), • Lean certification?
