Job Description We are on the lookout for a Data Scientist to join our Quick Commerce team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences. Be part of redefining how customers experience quick commerce. You'll help build technology that scales our non-food offerings, reaching new market segments and driving revenue growth. By innovating within our Quick Commerce Team, you'll make Delivery Hero the go-to platform for a broad range of products, helping us grow faster and deliver more value to customers around the world. We are building the AI engine that helps vendors upload and update their catalog on our platform in the easiest and quickest way possible. As a Data Scientist, you will work side-by-side with Data Engineers and Software Engineers to design, build, and deploy ML models that automate content creation and power a smarter product assortment. This is a role for someone who has a strong background in applied ML, particularly in Computer Vision, and is hungry to build a reliable and scalable image recognition system. You will drive hypotheses, validate model accuracy, and bring ML-powered services to recognize and categorize products images into production with real business impact. THE JOURNEY • Experiment, and deploy AI/ML models/Agents to automate products images recognition at scale., • Drive experimentation: formulate hypotheses, validate model performance , analyze business impact, and turn insights into production-ready models., • Develop and provide ML models to intelligently recognize products based on their images, extracting product details (like barcode, name), product categorization, etc., • Keep yourself up to date and apply state-of-the-art models (e.g., in NLP, deep learning, control vision, classification, LLMs/AI agents) to see what truly works best for us., • Collaborate closely with MLEs and Engineers to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and fast in production., • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, or a related field., • 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist focusing heavily on Computer Vision (CV)., • Deep expertise in relevant frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)., • Proven experience with Object Detection, Image Segmentation, and Classification., • Experience with model versioning, tracking (MLflow, Weights & Biases), and ensuring models are deployable in production environments (Docker, Kubernetes), • PhD in AI, Machine Learning, or a related field., • Experience integrating ML models into low-latency real-time API services., • Experience in fine tuning Large Language Models., • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)., • Monthly Glovo credits to satisfy your cravings!, • Discounted gym memberships to keep you energized., • Extra time off, the freedom to work from home two days a week, and the opportunity to work from anywhere for up to three weeks a year!, • Enhanced parental leave, and office-based nursery.
