As Sales Coordinator, Under the general direction of the Commercial Director or his/her delegate, and within the limits of the established IHG and local Hotel policies and procedures, is responsible for booking and servicing group enquiries while providing exceptional customer service to guests and clients of the Hotel. Your day-to-day • Support in the hotel's MICE sales processes, functions include, but are not limited to, support in MICE related requests for proposals, follow-up, negotiation and contracting of group related business., • Supporting the MICE segment in the hotel, from solicitation to completion of group transactions., • Work in a timely manner to execute and distribute all Banquet Event Orders (BEO), Group Fact Sheets (GFS)., • Organise and conduct special events, site inspections and external presentations for potential clients., • Negotiate room rates, meeting room rentals, event space and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines., • Support in drafting and/or accurately reviewing all sales contracts, rate agreements and/or banquet/catering orders., • Regularly follow up with customers during and after departure to ensure customer satisfaction and secure future bookings., • Establish and maintain a relationship with local DMCs and international PCOs., • Follow up closely with potential new clients., • Work closely with the events department to manage the logistics of each group., • Meet and entertain guests and clients on a regular basis to establish and maintain good business relationships and ensure customer satisfaction., • Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and brand in the local community. However, the high demand meant that it was enlarged on three occasions until it became a Grand Luxury hotel with 68 rooms, 20 luxury villas and more than 440 members of staff. Celebrities of all kinds have been guests at the hotel, such as Queen Ingrid of Denmark, Michael Jackson, Julio Iglesias, Camilo José Cela, Baroness Von Thyssen, Lola Flores, Sean Connery, Antonio Banderas, Melanie Griffith or Carlos Herrera.
