The Institution FAMM is the first museum in the world outside of the USA that has a permanent collection dedicated to A+ female artists from impressionism to contemporary art. Founded by collector and philanthropist Christian Levett, FAMM is built around one of the world's most significant collections dedicated to women artists, assembled over more than three decades and reflecting a long-standing commitment to increasing their visibility and recognition. Today, the museum presents more than 100 works by artists including Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt, Frida Kahlo, Leonora Carrington, Alice Neel, Joan Mitchell, Lee Krasner, Helen Frankenthaler, Louise Bourgeois, Marina Abramović, Jenny Saville, Sarah Lucas and Tracey Emin. Alongside its permanent collection, FAMM develops exhibitions, international loans, publications, educational programmes and partnerships with museums, universities and cultural organisations worldwide. As a growing institution with an international outlook, FAMM offers interns direct insight into the operational, curatorial and strategic realities of the museum sector. The Opportunity The intern will work directly with the Head of Marketing, Strategic Development & VIP Relations on projects spanning communications, audience engagement, public programmes, partnerships and institutional development. This role is designed for candidates interested in understanding how museums build visibility, grow audiences, engage collectors and patrons, deliver meaningful visitor experiences and develop sustainable growth strategies. Key Responsibilities Communications & Content • Assist with the drafting of newsletters, press releases, website content and communication materials in English and French, • Support media monitoring and communication reporting Audience & Digital Insights • Assist with monitoring social media, website and newsletter performance, • Assist with audience research, visitor feedback collection and reporting Research & Benchmarking • Assist with Conducting research on museum membership programmes, audience engagement initiatives and museum shop best practices Events & Public Programmes • Assist with conferences, workshops, guided visits and museum events, • Assist with Supporting visitor engagement activities and public programmes VIP & Development Support • Assist with the preparation of briefing documents, contact lists and research related to collectors, patrons and partners Profile • Student in Marketing, Communication, Art Business, Cultural Management, Art history, Museum Studies or a related field, • excellent digital skills (Brevo, Mailchimp, social medias, wikipedia...), • Excellent writing, research and analytical skills, • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, • Interest in museums, audience development, cultural strategy and the art market, • Comfortable working across both strategic thinking and practical execution, • Fluent French and, english strongly preferred What the Internship Offers • Direct exposure to the strategic development of an international museum, • Experience across communications, audience engagement, partnerships, public programmes and institutional positioning, • Insight into how museums build visibility, develop communities and create meaningful visitor experiences, • Opportunity to contribute to projects involving collectors, patrons, museums, universities, sponsors and international partners, • Mentorship within a growing museum environment operating at the intersection of culture, philanthropy and the art market Practical Information Location: Mougins, South of France Duration: 3 to 6 months Start date: To be defined Applications should include a CV and short cover letter.
