The Opportunity This is a pivotal moment for OceanWings as the shipping industry accelerates its transition toward decarbonization. We are seeking a Business Developer to help drive commercial adoption of our innovative wind-propulsion technology and strengthen OceanWings’ relationships across the global maritime ecosystem. The successful candidate will combine technical understanding with strategic commercial skills, acting as both market educator and business catalyst. This role is not about transactional sales; it’s about building trust, driving collaboration, and turning innovation into tangible impact. Key Responsibilities • Promote and position OceanWings’ technology with shipowners, charterers, shipyards, and naval architects across Europe., • Educate the market on wind-assisted propulsion, helping clients understand operational, financial, and sustainability benefits., • Develop and manage a structured sales pipeline using CRM tools, from prospect identification to contract negotiation., • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure customer needs align with technical capabilities and delivery schedules., • Lead presentations, tenders, and project proposals, serving as the technical-commercial bridge between clients and internal teams., • Support retrofit and new-build initiatives with yards and designers to advance adoption., • Represent OceanWings at industry events, conferences, and partnerships to enhance brand visibility., • Contribute to a collaborative team culture and uphold OceanWings’ core principles of integrity, humility, and excellence. Success Indicators • Expanded market awareness and engagement across key target segments., • Growth in qualified leads and progression through the commercial pipeline., • Early partnership or retrofit project wins., • Enhanced collaboration between business development, engineering, and project delivery teams., • Contribution to OceanWings’ commercial readiness and long-term growth plan. Ideal Profile • Background as a naval architect, marine engineer, or technical sales professional who has successfully transitioned into a commercial role., • Strong grasp of ship systems, retrofit processes, and performance optimization., • Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles within the maritime, energy, or engineering sectors., • Excellent relationship-building skills and credibility with senior stakeholders (technical directors, fleet managers, C-suite)., • Fluent in English (French advantageous); able to work in a Paris-based, international environment., • Comfortable with travel and engaging diverse client audiences.
