Localisation: Limonest (Lyon West North France) 1 year temporary contract : May 2026 – May 2027 Mission This position as a packaging engineer is dedicated to Supply Chain efficiency and the delivery of several major packaging productivity initiatives to deliver greater, scalable savings from 2027 onward. Such initiatives require strong leadership and a structured, project‑driven approach. This position is a new additional dedicated position for 1 year period. The main project thematics will be around cost saving initiatives, packaging range harmonization and simplification on plastic rigids, corrugated and cardboard packaging. The position must successfully interact with multifunctional & multi-cultural teams: group R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, Marketing, Quality, Regulatory and in a marketing driven consumer goods company. All these activities must be managed in a pro-active manner to ensure that product safety and performance are not compromised. This position reports functionally to Group R&D Packaging lead and supports operationnally the Productivity Lead. Main Tasks • Define packaging brief & need with procurement (dedicated person),, • Identify appropriate technical solutions that answer the brief,, • Exchange with suppliers,, • Select best technical solutions & test them,, • Manage manufacturing trials with plants,, • Manage packaging & finished good specifications and BOMs (Bill Of Materials),, • Approve new packaging on time, on cost, on specification,, • Report work progress to R&D Packaging lead and Procurement Productivity Lead. Profile You are graduate of a Master 2 degree in Packaging or Mechanical industry with a first experience of 3 years in a consumer good company in a packaging development. You have technical knowledge obtained from your graduation, an ability to apply fundamental technician principles for the evaluation and optimization of Evergreen packaging. Through knowledge of strong capabilities in rigid plastics and corrugated materials, value engineering, manufacturing processes understanding and supply chain optimization. You are fluent in French (C1 minimum) & English (B2 minimum), have the ability to use current PC-based software (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.). Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP). Component & BOM creation, Spec definition and approval workflows. You are recognized for your demonstrates drive and commitment, your adaptability, your "practical" and team spirit. You have a strong written and verbal communication. You work efficiently, you are well-organized and task-oriented. You are recognize for willing to take strong ownership for its deliverables and you use technical and functional expertise.
