The Job We are seeking a client focused and collaborative professional with proven experience in the consulting, design and integration of ICT/ELV systems for large-scale projects such as Stadiums, Arenas, Airports, Ports and Conference Centers. We are expecting this role to commence within the next 3 months, and it can be based at either our London or Manchester office. You Are: • Able to sit in a room with owner representatives, technology teams and architects/engineers and have the listening and communication skills, technical knowledge, construction experience, and experience to be able to lead all three groups., • Able to lead solution development and design, leading of internal engineers, along with working independently (when required)., • Able to present to multiple stakeholders., • Hungry to collaborate with colleagues to grow the business., • Technology curious – you want to learn new technology, how it works, how to apply it and test it., • A system thinker – you can think and communicate system integration at physical, network and application level. You Have: • Experience in the design and construction of ICT/ELV systems for large public venues. A designer and project manager with ICT/ELV knowledge of the built environment and experience with all phases of implementation (consulting, design, procurement, build and commissioning)., • A strong understanding and experience of the RIBA process, stages, and expected level of deliverable at each stage. Demonstrating project planning, briefing to technical design task delivery, resource planning, quality control and working within budgets., • Experience of CDM regulations and designer responsibilities., • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite preferred., • Attention to detail, • Industry relevant qualifications/certifications, such as Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), Electronic/ICT related degree or diploma, • An interest in Sports, either physical or eSports. You believe in ME Engineers' values: • Build Trust & Respect, • We are in this together, • Embrace the challenge., • Be bold and passionate., • Creative problem solvers Key Responsibilities: • Develop/contribute proposals for new projects and participate in project interviews., • Serve as a client's technical owner's representative on certain projects., • Lead consulting and design meetings with clients and architect/engineer or others., • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients., • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to our large/key projects., • Lead/design advanced ICT/ELV systems and sports specific technologies., • Develop and document ICT/ELV systems (reports, design notes, sketches, presentations, schematic, drawings, models, budget estimation) through distinct phases of design: Briefing | Concepts | Schematic Design | Detailed design., • Worldwide collaboration with different ME Engineers disciplines (such as Building Automation, Audio Visual, Acoustics, Building Information Modelling, Mechanical and Electrical), along with international Architect and Structural Engineers., • Provide Quality Assurance reviews of all projects at all project stages., • Development and training of other team members., • Assist clients through the procurement process (issuing RFP’s, bid review, award recommendations)., • Oversight of contractor low level design, build and commissioning, including site/factory visits, pre-installation, commissioning and tuning., • Continual Education – participation in industry/manufacturer knowledge transfer.
