Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver / Removals Professional to join our friendly and hardworking team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering a professional, high-quality service to customers. The Role As a Class 2 HGV Driver / Removals Porter, you will combine professional driving responsibilities with hands-on removals and porter duties. Your responsibilities will include: • Acting as a professional and friendly point of contact for customers., • Keeping customers informed throughout the removal process., • Driving 18-tonne, 12-tonne, 7.5-tonne and 3.5-tonne vehicles between warehouses and customer locations., • Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles are clean, fuelled, roadworthy and legally parked., • Complying with all relevant driving laws, regulations and restrictions., • Safely loading, unloading, handling and transporting customer goods., • Working efficiently as part of a removals team., • Planning moves and deliveries carefully to ensure a smooth and professional service., • Providing excellent customer service at all times., • Following company policies and procedures relating to driver, vehicle and workplace safety., • Carrying out general removals and porter duties as required. About You We are looking for someone who is experienced, reliable, professional, physically fit and customer-focused. You must have: • At least 3 years' experience in the removals industry., • At least 2 years' goods vehicle driving experience., • A valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence., • A valid Digital Tachograph Card., • A valid Driver CPC., • A clean driving licence; minor infringements may be considered., • Good spoken English and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues., • A polite, presentable and professional manner., • A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team., • The ability to carry out physically demanding removals work safely and efficiently. Working Pattern • Full-time, permanent position., • Approximately 80% local work / 20% UK-wide work., • 6 days one week and 5 days the next, subject to legal driving and working-time requirements., • Overtime opportunities available.
