    £30000–£32000 yearly
    Full-time
    Balham, Wandsworth

Venue Manager – Pinky Burger Foundry Hospitality Group is looking for a friendly, energetic and highly organised Venue Manager to take care of the day-to-day running of Pinky Burger, our new burger, cocktail and karaoke concept in Balham. This isn’t a traditional restaurant management role. Pinky has a deliberately simple food operation, QR-code ordering, a dedicated bar person and support from our Operations Manager. What we need is someone who can take ownership of the venue and make sure every shift runs brilliantly. You’ll be responsible for opening and setting up the venue, keeping it clean, organised and looking great, welcoming guests, overseeing the floor and QR ordering system, coordinating with the kitchen and bar, managing the private karaoke room and making sure the atmosphere stays fun, friendly and well controlled. Most importantly, we’re looking for personality. You should genuinely enjoy meeting people, be confident talking to guests and have the sort of presence that makes people feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door. You don’t need years of restaurant management experience. You might currently be a supervisor, duty manager, assistant manager or an experienced front-of-house person ready to take the next step. Hospitality experience is important, but attitude, reliability, organisation and personality matter just as much. You’ll have the support of Foundry Hospitality’s Operations Manager, while having plenty of autonomy to make Pinky a great neighbourhood venue. The right person will be: • Warm, outgoing and naturally welcoming, • Reliable and highly organised, • Comfortable taking responsibility for a venue, • Experienced in hospitality, bars, restaurants or similar, • Happy working in a lively, informal environment, • Hands-on — willing to jump in wherever needed, • Confident managing busy evenings and late-night trade, • Someone who takes pride in keeping a venue spotless, organised and ready for service This is a great opportunity for someone looking for their first venue management position without stepping into the complexity of running a large traditional restaurant.

👟 Flexible Shoe Cleaning Assistant – £2 Per Pair | Side Hustle
    1 month ago
    £10–£12 hourly
    Part-time
    Wallington

👟 Flexible Shoe Cleaning Assistant – £2 Per Pair | Side Hustle Hi! I’m Hana, I’m 21 and have been running my pre-owned shoe business for around 6 years alongside university. As I’m returning to university soon and go through a lot of shoes, I’m looking for a reliable local person to help clean batches of shoes when needed. 🧽 The Job You’ll collect batches of shoes from my home, take them home to clean, and return them once finished. I provide the cleaning supplies and will show you exactly how I clean the shoes and the standard I expect, so no previous experience is needed. The shoes need to be properly and thoroughly cleaned — not just given a quick wipe. Some pairs will be relatively easy, while others will be dirtier and require more scrubbing, patience and time. I understand that some stains, discolouration and signs of wear simply cannot be removed. I don’t expect perfection or for excessive time to be spent trying to remove permanent marks. However, I do expect a genuine effort and good-quality clean on every pair, while taking care not to damage different materials. If a pair has clearly not been cleaned to the standard I’ve demonstrated, I will ask for it to be cleaned again before payment for that pair. 💷 Pay & Workload £2 per pair – fixed rate. For example: 10 pairs = £20 20 pairs = £40 30 pairs = £60 50 pairs = £100 The amount of work will vary. One batch could be 10 pairs, another 30 or 50+, and some weeks I may not have any shoes that need cleaning. Please treat this as a flexible side hustle rather than guaranteed regular employment. I will contact you whenever I have a batch ready. Please do not rely on a certain number of pairs or regularly pressure me for the next batch — I will message you when I need your help. 🚗 Collection & Return You will need to collect the shoes from my home and return them once cleaned, so please consider the travelling involved before applying. Having access to a car would be ideal. Shoes must also be returned by the agreed time. I will count each batch before collection and when it is returned. ⭐ What I Expect • Reliable, trustworthy and good communication, • Good attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions, • Quality and care rather than rushing, • Cleaning products used sensibly without unnecessary waste, • Shoes collected and returned as agreed, • Every pair given a genuine, thorough clean Everyone will begin with a small paid trial batch so we can both see whether the arrangement works well. I’m hiring someone to save me time while I’m at university, so I’m looking for someone who can work independently and consistently without creating extra work for me. If you’re happy with the £2-per-pair rate, variable workload, travelling to collect/return the shoes, and the cleaning standard expected, I’d love to hear from you. 😊 Thank you!

    Construction Project Manager

    £40000–£130000 yearly
    Full-time
    London

Construction Project Manager – Domestic Building Projects £40,000–£130,000 depending on experience and performance + uncapped project commission We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to take ownership of domestic building projects from initial site visit through to successful completion. Our projects include: • Home extensions, • Loft conversions, • Full and partial property renovations, • Internal remodelling and refurbishment Typical contract values range from £40,000 to £250,000, with an average project value of approximately £70,000. This role is designed for someone who wants the independence and earning potential of running projects without having to worry about finding customers, generating leads, running sales calls, issuing contracts, chasing invoices or managing back-office administration. We find the work and run the back office. You deliver the projects. How the role works The company generates enquiries and works with homeowners to understand their plans, budget and project requirements. Once we identify a promising opportunity, you will: 1. Visit the property and meet the client in person., 2. Discuss the proposed work in detail., 3. Assess the site and identify potential risks or challenges., 4. Scope the work and prepare an accurate, commercially viable quotation., 5. Support our internal team with any technical questions required to close the project. Our internal team then takes over the sales process, follows up with the customer, issues contracts and closes the project. Once the project is secured, you take responsibility for delivering it from start to finish. Focus on delivery, not administration We take care of the back office, including: • Lead generation, • Initial customer qualification, • Sales calls and follow-up, • Customer contracts, • Billing, • Invoicing, • Payment collection, • General administration You are not expected to spend your time finding work, chasing paperwork, issuing contracts or collecting money. Your focus is on: • Meeting clients, • Understanding and pricing projects, • Planning the work, • Organising contractors and trades, • Managing day-to-day project delivery, • Controlling costs and programme, • Maintaining a strong relationship with the client, • Ensuring work is delivered to a high standard You look after the contractors, the client and the project. We look after everything around it. Your responsibilities You will be responsible for the successful delivery of your projects, including: • Visiting prospective projects and meeting homeowners, • Understanding the client's requirements, • Accurately scoping and pricing work, • Preparing project budgets and quotations, • Planning the works and creating realistic programmes, • Organising labour, subcontractors, trades and materials, • Ensuring the right contractors are on site at the right time, • Managing and supervising contractors, • Monitoring the quality of work, • Managing project costs, budgets and margins, • Monitoring progress against programme, • Identifying and resolving issues quickly, • Managing variations and changes to scope, • Keeping clients informed throughout the project, • Maintaining a positive client relationship, • Ensuring sites are organised, safe and professionally managed, • Managing snagging and project completion, • Delivering an outcome the client is genuinely happy with You will have considerable freedom over how you organise and deliver your projects. You will not be micromanaged. We care about the outcome: quality, happy clients, projects delivered efficiently and strong commercial performance. What is in it for you? £40,000–£130,000 + uncapped commission Salary will range from £40,000 to £130,000, depending on experience, capability and performance. On top of this, you will receive uncapped commission linked directly to the profit generated by the projects you manage. There is no ceiling on commission. The more work you successfully manage, and the more efficiently and profitably you deliver it, the more you can earn. No need to find your own work One of the biggest challenges of running a construction business is keeping the pipeline full. We take that problem away. Our team generates the enquiries, qualifies customers and runs the sales process. We can generate as much work as you are capable of successfully delivering. Whether you want to manage £60,000 or £6 million of construction work, we want the limiting factor to be your ability to deliver rather than our ability to find projects. No back-office burden Contracts, billing, invoicing, payment collection, sales and administration are handled internally. That allows you to spend your time where you add the most value: on site, with contractors and with clients. Be your own boss The role is largely self-directed. You will have significant freedom over how you organise your time, manage your contractors and deliver your projects. We are looking for someone who wants responsibility rather than someone who needs constant supervision. How the numbers work Our average project is approximately £70,000. A well-run project should achieve at least a 20% profit margin, with 30% or more achievable on strong projects. That means a £70,000 project could generate: 20% Margin30% Margin Contract value £70,000 £70,000 Project profit £14,000 £21,000 Your commission is linked to the profit generated by the projects you manage.
