Our client is looking for an ambitious Electrical Building Services Engineer to join their Edinburgh design team. Role Overview As a Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and specification of electrical building services systems ensuring all deliverables are covered. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. Key responsibilities include: • Producing detailed electrical designs using industry-standard software, • Conducting site surveys and attending client meetings., • Preparing technical reports, specifications, and schedules., • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders., • Supporting junior engineers and contributing to team collaboration. Some of the main responsibilities of the Principal Electrical Engineer will include: • Review design packages to ensure compliance with project requirements, UK grid codes, and relevant safety standards., • Coordinate work packages through internal governance processes, including technical reviews, risk assessments, and quality checks., • Serve as the technical point of contact in meetings with design teams, DNOs, and equipment suppliers., • Work with regulators to ensure compliance, aligned with UK standards and UK Grid codes., • Manage change requests, ensuring they are resolved and properly documented., • Monitor project progress through to delivery, ensuring alignment with approved standards and frameworks., • Oversee the preparation and quality of documentation, including design deliverables.
