A major UK financial services organisation is expanding its risk and regulatory capability as part of a wider integration and growth programme. This role sits at the crossroads of capital, credit risk and analytics, turning complex data into clear, decision-shaping insight. Role Overview: • Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid – 3 days onsite), • Package: £44,560 – £66,840 + annual bonus & benefits, • Industry: Banking / Financial Services What You’ll Be Doing: • Calculating regulatory and economic capital, including RWAs, to support internal governance and external submissions., • Developing, calibrating and maintaining credit risk models across products and borrower segments., • Forecasting credit losses and assessing portfolio risk under different economic and stress scenarios., • Running stress testing exercises to understand capital impacts from macroeconomic change., • Analysing credit trends and early warning indicators to highlight emerging risks., • Delivering accurate, timely risk reporting to senior committees and regulators., • Working closely with risk, finance and analytics teams across the wider banking group. Main Skills Needed: • Experience producing regulatory or economic capital calculations, including RWAs., • Strong analytical capability using tools such as SAS, SQL, Python or similar., • Background in credit risk, portfolio analytics or regulatory reporting., • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders., • Experience coordinating work across projects and multiple priorities.
