\n Enterprise Architect – SAP / Cloud ERP \n Contract:£850-£900+ Inside IR35 - Initial 6 months with high chance for extension. Location: Mainly remote, with approximately 2–3 days per month onsite in either London or Chesterfield. \n We are looking for an experienced Lead Enterprise Architect to join a high-profile Enterprise Architecture team, taking a leading role in shaping the architecture and delivery of a complex enterprise technology estate, with a particular focus on SAP and emerging cloud ERP capabilities. \n This is a senior architecture position requiring someone who can operate confidently at both strategic and delivery levels. You will work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders, architecture teams, delivery partners and suppliers to define target architectures, influence architectural direction and ensure technology decisions support wider organisational objectives. \n The successful candidate will bring strong SAP/ERP architecture experience, alongside the ability to operate across people, process, technology and organisational considerations. You will be expected to challenge existing thinking, identify opportunities for improvement and introduce best practice and emerging technologies where they can deliver meaningful value. Key Responsibilities Enterprise & Solution Architecture\n \n • Act as a senior, embedded Enterprise Architect, with a particular focus on the organisation’s emerging use of cloud ERP and SAP technologies.\n, • Define and evolve enterprise and target architectures covering technology, people, processes, information and organisational considerations.\n, • Work alongside internal teams, partners and suppliers to develop architectures that support strategic organisational objectives.\n, • Ensure architecture is consistently applied to maximise business and technology outcomes.\n, • Take a leading role in shaping the overall direction of business and digital capabilities.\n, • Lead the framing of complex, high-risk or highly interconnected architectural problems and develop appropriate approaches and solutions.\n, • Identify opportunities to simplify, modernise and improve the existing technology estate.\n SAP & Cloud ERP\n \n, • Provide architectural leadership across SAP/ERP platforms, particularly within cloud-enabled environments.\n, • Shape the strategic direction and evolution of the ERP estate.\n, • Assess emerging ERP technologies, patterns and approaches and determine where they can provide value.\n, • Ensure SAP architecture aligns with wider enterprise architecture, security, integration, data and cloud strategies.\n, • Work with delivery partners and technical teams to ensure architectural principles are translated effectively into implementation.\n, • Consider the wider impact of ERP decisions across business processes, operating models, data, integrations and technology.\n Architecture Governance & Assurance\n \n, • Drive and influence architectural direction across multiple teams and technology domains.\n, • Identify and address architectural risks and dependencies that have an impact across teams or domains.\n, • Apply appropriate architecture governance and assurance processes to support effective decision-making and management of technical risk.\n, • Produce high-quality architecture artefacts, patterns, principles and documented assets in line with established Architecture Practice standards.\n, • Present and defend architectural decisions through relevant governance forums and ensure appropriate stakeholder approval.\n Essential Experience\n \n, • Significant experience as a Senior / Lead Enterprise Architect within a complex enterprise environment, with strong SAP/ERP architecture experience.\n, • Proven experience delivering or shaping SAP transformation, ERP modernisation and cloud ERP programmes, including SAP cloud solutions and/or hyperscaler environments.\n, • Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles, governance, assurance and frameworks, with experience developing target architectures, technology strategies and operating models.\n, • Experience leading architecture across complex programmes, portfolios and organisational transformation, identifying and managing architectural risks, dependencies and technical debt.\n, • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex architectural concepts to senior technical and non-technical audiences and gain buy-in for high-impact decisions.\n, • Experience working with third parties, strategic suppliers and multi-supplier/federated environments.\n, • Experience leading, mentoring or supporting architects and architecture communities.\n, • Good understanding of integration, APIs, data architecture and enterprise platforms within an ERP landscape.\n, • Experience aligning technology, people and processes with wider business objectives to deliver successful outcomes.\n, • Experience operating within formal architecture governance, such as Architecture Review Boards or equivalent.\n Why This Role?\n This is an opportunity to join a large, complex enterprise transformation environment where architecture plays a central role in shaping the future technology landscape. \n You will have significant influence over the evolution of a major SAP/cloud ERP estate, working with senior stakeholders and strategic partners while helping to shape long-term business and digital capabilities. \n The role offers a remote-first working model, with only approximately 2–3 days per month onsite in either London or Chesterfield. \n #J-18808-Ljbffr
