As part of this evolution, were now seeking a talented Finance Controller to join the team. The Role Were looking for a hands-on Finance Controller to oversee the full financial function of the business. Reporting to the Finance Director, youll lead financial planning, ensure robust and accurate monthly reporting, support strategic decision-making, and strengthen financial controls across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, • Deliver monthly management accounts, board packs, and variance commentary, • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, • Maintain strong cashflow forecasting and working-capital control, • Oversee AP/AR, balance sheet integrity, and fixed assets, • Ensure timely month-end close (within 5 working days), • Act as primary contact for auditors, lenders, and external accountants, • Strong financial and accounting experience (SME background preferred), • Proven Managerial experience, • Experience in construction or manufacturing advantageous, • Sage and Eque2/Construct Cloud experience beneficial, • Analytical and commercially minded, • Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder influence, • Highly organised and detail-focused, • Strong problem-solver with project management capability, • Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred, • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified (or working towards), • Integrity You follow through, communicate honestly, and earn trust., • Ready to Learn You seek feedback, stay curious, and grow from experience., • Anticipate, Dont Procrastinate You plan ahead, stay proactive, and prevent issues before they arise., • There Is a Way You embrace challenges with optimism and bring solutions, not obstacles., • Quarterly bonus scheme aligned to company performance., • 28 days holiday (incl. bank holidays), increasing with service., • Additional holidays for values winners each quarter., • Enhanced pension contribution: where you choose to contribute above the statutory minimum, Delta increases its employer contribution by 25% of your additional voluntary amount., • Supportive and approachable leadership team committed to collaboration and learning, • Modern, newly refurbished offices., • Regular team engagement initiatives, such as company-funded lunches, Q team meetings and values winners., • Hybrid working (1 day from home per week).
