The company design and build electro-mechanical equipment and they have a great reputation for product quality. After recently investing a lot in CAPEX, they have plans in place to increase their manufacturing volume, and they need a strong Quality Engineer to take ownership of quality across the business. The first priority will be tackling non-conformances: there’s lots of data to look at, and you’ll quickly be able to use your RCA ability to make a difference when it comes to non-conformances and waste reduction. They are also looking to become ISO9001 accredited this year. You will be responsible for ensuring all company products and services meet quality standards before they go to market. As a Quality Engineer you will also be responsible for: • Ownership of quality processes and product testing procedures., • Working closely with the Manufacturing Engineer to monitor production standards., • Ownership of incoming product quality, processing returns with a focus on root cause analysis and prevention, • Working with the NPI team to provide your feedback and input., • Understanding customer expectations of and needs from a product., • Developing quality processes across production, test and supply chain.
