We are working with a leading MedTech company who are currently undergoing a significant technical transfer of existing product manufacturing to an external CDMO. To support this transition, they require an experienced CAD Engineer to lead a high-volume remedial project. They are need a meticulous draftsperson with extensive SolidWorks and PDM exposure to ensure our 3D models and 2D drawings are accurate, manufacturable, and fully compliant with GD&T standards. The Focus While many roles focus on high-volume consumables, this position is tailored for an engineer who understands low-volume, high-quality metalwork. You will be working primarily on: • Sheet-metal work and machined components., • General Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) within 3D models., • Legacy drawing remediation for our retained unit. Your Responsibilities Working under the direction of the Senior Mechanical Engineer and the CI & NPI (TT) Manager, you will: • Revise & Update: Manage high-volume updates to SolidWorks 3D models and 2D drawings., • Fabrication Ready: Produce accurate drawings for laser cutting, CNC folding, welding, and mechanical assembly., • PDM Mastery: Manage the entire lifecycle of drawing files—from revisions and documentation to navigating the PDM approvals workflow., • Collaborate: Work closely with on-site engineering and production teams to resolve technical discrepancies., • Standards: Maintain structured documentation aligned with ISO and project-specific quality standards. Skills & Experience Required • Expert SolidWorks User: Deep proficiency in both 2D and 3D modeling/detailing., • PDM Power-User: Hands-on experience with revision control, file management, and workflow approvals., • Metalwork Specialist: A strong background in fabrication processes (machining, welding, CNC)., • GD&T Expert: A thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing., • Methodical Mindset: A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to drawing accuracy.
