This role has a strong commercial focus and sits at the intersection of pricing, finance, operations, and customer delivery. It is not a pure finance role, but it does require a strong numerical mindset, advanced Excel capability, and the ability to bring together cost, specification, and commercial inputs from multiple teams to price products accurately and competitively. Reporting into the Head of Commercial, this role does not currently have direct reports, though the team may expand in the future. The Role The Product Pricing Manager acts as a key conduit between departments, ensuring that full-vehicle pricing is accurate, commercially viable, and aligned with customer requirements. You will work closely with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Sales to ensure that product specifications, component costs, warranties, and market considerations are fully reflected in customer pricing. This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong communication skills and confidence working with complex products and pricing models. Key Responsibilities Own pricing activity for full vehicle products, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and margin control. Respond to pricing enquiries from Sales and customer bids in a timely and commercially sound manner. Build detailed customer and internal quotations by pulling together cost, specification, and commercial inputs. Liaise with Procurement to understand component and parts costs and track cost movements. Work closely with Engineering and Operations to ensure specifications are accurate and fully costed. Partner with Finance and Commercial teams to ensure pricing aligns with financial targets, warranties, and market positioning. Analyse specification changes, assess margin impact, and reprice where required. Maintain and update pricing systems, ensuring governance and approval processes are followed. Produce reporting on quoted volumes, revenues, margins, opportunity pipeline, and order book performance. Support analysis of overall product cost structures and pricing performance across the business. Collaborate regularly with internal stakeholders across multiple UK sites, with occasional travel as required. Skills and Experience Strong commercial pricing experience within a complex, engineered, or project-based product environment. Solid financial and numerical capability, with advanced Excel skills essential. Experience using pricing or financial planning systems such as Anaplan, or similar tools. Comfortable acting as a central point between multiple departments and stakeholders. Excellent attention to detail with a right-first-time approach. Strong communicator, able to gather the right information and challenge where needed. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines. Experience within manufacturing, automotive, transport, or similarly complex products is highly desirable. Knowledge of the bus or wider vehicle industry is advantageous but not essential. Working Pattern and Location The role can be based out of Farnborough, Skelmersdale, Scarborough, Larbert, or Ballymena. The working pattern is office-based Monday to Thursday, with Friday as a work-from-home day and early finish (typically 8:00–16:30 Monday–Thursday and 8:00–13:00 on Friday). Why Apply This is a key commercial role offering strong exposure across the business, the opportunity to influence pricing strategy on complex products, and a structured hybrid working pattern.
