Job Title: National Sales Manager - Domestic Location: National: United Kingdom Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am - 5pm, 35 hours per week Reporting to: Sales Director Direct Reports: Two Area Sales Managers Salary Package: £60,000 to £75,000 offers made depending on previous and proven experience to deliver the role. Purpose: The National Sales Manager plays a vital role in developing sustained growth in the domestic market. This is a new sector for the company. The NSM will be responsible for creating the business strategy, managing and leading a team of Business Development Managers, and building solid customer relationships. The NSM will understand customer needs and work with other company departments to provide and develop the required product and service offer as necessary. Main Duties: • Creation of the domestic market growth strategy with support from the Sales Director., • Lead, manage, motivate, and inspire a team of Business Development Managers to execute the growth strategy., • Cover territory customer management and development when required., • Key account management of selected customers., • Create a customer development plan that supports the growth strategy through market knowledge, research, and networking. This should include: Trade Fabricators; Customers that Fabricate and Install; and Retail-only customers., • Develop a national network of showrooms displaying and promoting the company’s offer., • Work with the marketing team, including supporting PR and advertising agencies, to generate quality leads and develop a robust pipeline of opportunities., • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships by understanding client needs, challenges, and objectives., • Conduct compelling sales presentations and demonstrations to potential clients., • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure profitable deals, ensuring all aspects of the deal align with company objectives and policies., • Support the Credit Control Department when needed to help ensure customers adhere to agreed payment terms., • Provide exceptional post-sales support, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues., • Monitor and share market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth., • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and forecasts, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement., • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions using CRM software., • Prior experience in the domestic fenestration market with a successful track record., • Previous experience directly line managing a successful sales team – taking an open, fair, and consistent approach, fostering employee wellbeing, managing workloads, collaborating with other management peers, and supporting employee development., • Experience in coaching and mentoring others., • Numerate and technically competent., • Confident and engaging presenter., • Self-motivated, proactive, and organised approach focused on taking meaningful action to consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances., • Crafted sales approach based on building long-term, valuable relationships, ability to understand, identify challenges, and proactively present tailored solutions that help clients achieve their business goals., • Collaborative team member that builds trust, communicates respect, and utilises others' diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals., • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems., • Degree or HND in Business, Marketing, or a related field., • Familiarity with UK-specific regulations, sustainability standards, and market trends., • Strategic mindset with a strong data-driven approach, analytical and targeted strategies, problem-solving skills.
