Key Aspects of the role • Quality and Compliance Management – All works completed to Harmony and BMTRADA standards. Timely checking of work on site. Correct data input into Simpro., • Site Management - Site set up, Site sign off, Stock management, receiving deliveries, site precondition surveys, welfare, delivery of prelims, Post inspections – allowing for final sign off by PM. Identify opportunities for variations and highlight immediately to Project Manager, • People management for trades and sub-contractors – responsible for resolving everyday issues, boosting the teams morale, resolving conflict and identifying resource requirements. Maximise the productivity and utilisation of colleagues on site. Deliver Training on Simpro to sub-contractors and workforce., • Quality control – works are certifiable and compliant, delivered as per client and Harmony expectations. Spot checking and recording of works., • Client - Attend prestart meetings, ensuring the site is tidy and representative of Harmony’s brand., • Communication - provide weekly report to client attending calls as needed, ensure onsite resident liaison is carried out to engage clients and explain works. Provide regular update to PM on site progress, regularity of reporting agreed with PM., • Health and safety – Implement Harmony’s H&S policy on all sites. Responsible for ensuring all work on sites is conducted in a safe manner through regular training and auditing. Inducting new trades and ensuring completion of all relevant H&S paperwork. Regular toolbox talks to include regular H&S updates. You will support manufacturing project teams, facilitating the creation and updates of high-quality and accurate technical documents such as assembly and test procedures. This is for exciting new projects involving hardware (mechanical, electronics, electrical) and some software. You will be required to produce and maintain user documentation for our products to agreed corporate standards and timescales. Your goal is to present technical information in a clear, accurate and concise manner that can be understood clearly so that Manufacturing can produce tools efficiently: this also includes ensuring safety notices are included, images such as photos or illustrations, and being able to get feedback from the users to implement in future revisions. Training and mentoring will be given in all aspects of technical writing and information design to help you create content that is easy to find, easy to use, and easy to understand for end users. Responsibilities: • Create, update, and maintain technical assembly and test procedures working closely with project engineering teams., • Work closely with the manufacturing engineers and technicians to observe the assembly of products and be able to implement updates as required., • Manage the requests for change tickets and ensure they are prioritized and implemented working in collaboration with the project managers., • Author documentation in a structured way that maximizes comprehension and ease of use., • Produce clear, concise, and accurate content., • Edit documents supplied by subject matter experts according to corporate standards and style., • Get source information from internal project documentation sources such as CAD drawings, specs, and interviews with project team members as well as from change request tickets., • Manage review cycles and incorporate review comments., • Produce and edit graphics such as taking photos during engineering assembly, cropping photos, adding annotations/callouts, and repurposing engineering 3D CAD models to produce renders/exploded views. You may also get involved in creating animated assembly sequences or short how-to videos. Qualifications: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Any previous writing experience especially writing technical documents or any instructional writing would be advantageous., • Experience and understanding of basic engineering principles so you can work effectively with the manufacturing team to help update and create the documentation and observe builds while documenting them., • Any experience with software such as CAD, PhotoShop, and Illustrator to create and edit images., • Good organizational and interpersonal skills to manage the flow of information from contributors and reviewers., • Strong attention to detail, with an eye for improving existing work., • Self-starter, independent and fast learner to help us create great user documentation.
