I am pleased to be working with a highly regarded regional law firm to appoint a Clinical Negligence Lawyer to join its well-established claimant team. This is an excellent opportunity to handle a varied, high-quality caseload within a supportive and forward-thinking environment, with the added benefit of a fully remote working model following an initial onboarding period where office attendance will be required in North Yorkshire for a couple of months. The Role You will manage a diverse caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, advising and representing clients on complex and often life-changing claims. The work will include: • Catastrophic injury claims, including spinal cord and brain injuries, • Cerebral palsy cases, • Fatal accident claims, • Claims against hospitals and medical professionals, • Other high-value and serious injury matters You will be responsible for progressing matters from inception through to resolution, including: • Reviewing and analysing medical records, • Instructing medical experts and counsel, • Taking witness statements, • Negotiating settlements, • Issuing and progressing court proceedings where required The team is known for delivering exceptional client care to individuals often facing highly sensitive and distressing circumstances, so an empathetic and professional approach is essential. Working Arrangements This role offers fully remote working on a long-term basis. However, to support onboarding, training and integration into the team, there will be an expectation to attend the North Yorkshire office for the first couple of months. Following this initial period, you will transition to a fully remote setup. The successful candidate will: • Have a solid Personal Injury background, ideally with 1–5 years’ PQE and experience in Clinical Negligence, • Demonstrate a positive, proactive and commercially aware approach, • Build strong, trusting relationships with clients, • Deliver exceptional levels of client care, particularly when supporting vulnerable individuals, • Ideally have some exposure to business development or marketing initiatives You will be a team-oriented individual who can quickly integrate into a collaborative environment and contribute to its ongoing success.
