To be successful in the role of Procurement Management , we require: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., supply chain management, business administration and/or finance) Proven experience in Procurement and Strategic sourcing, preferably within the hospitality industry Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication (written/spoken) English & French at business level Ability to work independently and as part of a team Minimum 8 years of experience of relevant working experience in purchasing Background and or experience within technical services purchasing (vendor management, contractor’s, hard services) Certification from Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) a plus Experience in integration activities and change management. We operate several food outlets across the exhibition centre, including Chozen, Wrapid, Orzo’s Deli and Italian Kitchen. This role will be primarily based at Detroit City Burger, although you may occasionally support another outlet. Excel’s event schedule makes every week different. We need someone who can lead a team through busy services, stay organised when demand changes quickly, and take real ownership of the outlet’s food safety, cleanliness and presentation. Pay, hours and benefits • £15 per hour, with a pay review after six months., • A minimum of 100 hours in each four-week period (an average of 25 hours per week), with additional hours available during busy events., • Shifts follow the event schedule. Weekend work is an expected part of the role, particularly when major events are taking place. Planning and Control • Monitor labour scheduling to ensure stores are appropriately resourced in line with forecasted sales and business needs., • Review rotas, staffing levels and labour usage to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities., • Support Store Managers with forecasting, planning and operational organisation to improve consistency and performance., • Monitor food ordering, stock accuracy, food transfers and inventory discipline to support cost control and minimise waste., • Ensure key business priorities, promotional activity and operational requirements are clearly communicated and executed across stores. Store Visits and Oversight The Area Manager is expected to maintain a regular presence across their stores and complete visits which may include: • Operational standards reviews, • Opening and closing checks, • Paperwork and admin reviews, • HACCP and compliance reviews, • Training observations and coaching, • Stock and inventory checks, • Rush period support, • Manager meetings and action planning, • Wellbeing and engagement check-ins All visits, findings and follow-up actions must be recorded in the appropriate company systems.
