Department: Nursery Practitioner Employment Type: Part Time Location: Monkey Puzzle Lightwater Compensation: £22,880 / year Monkey Puzzle Lightwater is looking for a qualified (Level 2) Nursery Practitioner to join their team. The role involves working Monday to Thursday, 36 hours per week including a 1 hour unpaid lunch break. Salary starts at £22,880 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience. • Support the nursery to grow and perform at a high standard, whilst ensuring that all legislation and EYFS frameworks are adhered to., • Create inspirational, creative, and effective learning environments in line with the needs of the children and the nursery., • Ensure the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures., • Implement the EYFS with a good understanding of child development., • Report any issues of concern to a senior team member or relevant services., • Work in partnership with parents and our partners to ensure our children thrive., • Show a positive attitude with children, parents, colleagues and visitors to maintain our happy nursery., • You will be able to help provide high standards of care and education to meet the individual needs of the children., • You are able to provide play based learning opportunities for all children., • You will be able to adhere to all company policies and procedures and maintain positive working relationships with the team, parents and carers., • You will know when to report issues of concern to a senior team member., • You have a positive attitude and creative ideas to inspire learning., • You have good verbal and written communication skills with adults and children., • You will have great planning and organisation skills., • You will have a willingness to learn., • Ensure high levels of interaction with children in order to help extend their learning., • Support children at mealtimes ensuring these provide a positive social experience for the children., • Provide support for children who are transitioning to new settings., • Help children with feeding, changing clothes, nappies, toileting etc., • GCSE grades 5-9/A-C, • Full and relevant Level 2 in Early Years, • Ability to ensure the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures, • Appropriate behaviour management, • Ability to participate in child observations and assessments with a good understanding of child development, • Food Hygiene Level 2, • FGM, • Safeguarding, • Paediatric First Aid, • Length of Service Recognition: vouchers for long service., • Competitive Salaries: reviewed throughout the year., • Enhanced Maternity Pay: after 2 years’ service., • Medicash: cover for dental treatments, optical, doctor consultations, therapies, prescriptions and mental health support., • YuLife: Group Life Assurance policy and access to the YuLife app., • Refer a Friend: rewards for bringing connections., • Flexible Working: choice and flexibility to reduce hours., • Social Events: team catch‑ups and Christmas parties.
