IGA is partnered with one of our long-standing clients — a UK-based investment advisory and management firm — to grow their specialist Investment Transitions team. We’re looking for an experienced and confident asset transitions specialist who is ready to step into a senior role with leadership responsibilities, technical oversight, and the chance to drive process improvements in a purpose-driven, people-first organisation. The Transitions team plays a pivotal role — delivering complex asset transitions with precision, transparency, and care. Whether it's a buy-in or buy-out, pooled fund restructure, or platform move, they manage these events with rigorous attention to detail and deep technical knowledge. You’ll be joining a collaborative and growing team within a firm that places real emphasis on integrity, quality, and innovation. In this role, you will: • Lead the delivery of complex transition projects — from insurance transactions and manager changes to in-specie transfers and custodian/platform restructures, • Take ownership of buy-in and buy-out transitions, delivering within strict timeframes, • Provide technical leadership — mentoring, training, and guiding junior colleagues within the team, • Oversee and review project plans, documentation, instructions, and audit trails for large-scale transitions, • Develop and refine transition policies, procedures, and tools to drive continuous improvement, • Act as a key relationship manager with investment managers, custodians, platforms, and internal stakeholders, • Support business development efforts, including attending client meetings and pitches, • Contribute to the firm’s research and thought leadership in transitions — e.g. on FX, custody, or transition manager strategy, • Own project budgets, scopes, and fee quotes — ensuring effective cost management Who we’re looking for: • Extensive experience in asset transitions — ideally within an investment consultancy, asset manager, or pension scheme, • Deep technical understanding of transition mechanics and project management, • Strong analytical, numerical, and risk assessment skills, • Proven ability to produce or review clear, detailed documentation and instructions, • Comfortable leading and developing teams — with experience coaching or mentoring others, • Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex issues clearly and confidently, • A proactive, organised mindset — with the ability to manage multiple high-pressure projects, • Someone who takes ownership, works collaboratively, and delivers consistently high-quality outcomes Why this stands out: • Trusted, repeat client: This is a firm we know well and have placed with successfully — they value their people and offer real development Stretch and exposure, • You'll work on complex, high-impact strategies in an environment that values quality and innovation Supportive team, • A flat structure where your input is valued and your growth is actively supported Purpose-led: Be part of a mission-driven firm delivering long-term value for clients and society If this sounds like a fit, reach out to Oliver Clark for a confidential conversation — either via LinkedIn or at .
