Quality Advisor Location: Site-Based – Two Live Schemes Contract: Permanent, Full Time Hours: 40 per week (Monday–Friday) engstaff-in are working on behalf of their client, a leading main contractor operating within the construction market, to recruit a Quality Advisor for a major £118m project delivered across two sites. The scheme has recently commenced, with drainage and civils works underway, creating an excellent opportunity to join at an early stage and play a key role in setting quality standards from the outset. This position is ideal for someone motivated, proactive, and eager to build their reputation on a complex, high profile programme. You will be site based, splitting your time between both schemes, and supported by an experienced wider quality and project leadership team. The Role As Quality Advisor, you will be a highly visible presence on site, supporting the delivery teams to ensure quality is embedded into daily construction activities. You will report into a non site based Quality Manager, while working closely with Project and Production Leads across both schemes. This is a hands on, practical role where you will be involved in inspections, audits, quality planning, and subcontractor engagement from the early phases of construction through to completion. The early stage nature of the project offers genuine influence and the chance to help shape how quality is delivered across both sites. What You Will Bring • Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, • Alternatively, strong site experience supported by relevant construction qualifications or apprenticeships, • Valid CSCS Card (essential), • Experience working in a Quality Advisor, Quality Engineer, or similar role within construction, • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, • Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and industry standards, • Familiarity with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Plans, • Awareness of health & safety legislation (NEBOSH or similar beneficial), • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with site teams, subcontractors, and management, • Strong attention to detail with a methodical, process driven approach, • Good digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and quality management software, • A driven mindset with the ambition to progress within a growing quality function Core Responsibilities • Support the implementation of the project Quality Management System across both sites, • Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and quality checks, • Assist in the preparation, management, and review of Quality Plans and ITPs, • Identify quality risks early and support mitigation strategies, • Work closely with subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are clearly understood, • Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, and close-out processes, • Maintain accurate quality records and reporting, • Provide quality updates to the Quality Manager and site leadership teams, • Promote a proactive quality culture across all site activities, • Contribute to continuous improvement and best practice initiatives What’s on Offer • Negotiable salary (dependent on experience), • Monthly car allowance, • Permanent, site based role across two live schemes, • Opportunity to join a £118m project at an early stage, • Strong support from a central Quality Manager and experienced project teams, • Clear progression opportunities, • Exposure to technically varied works across multiple sites, • Immediate start available
