As Senior Account Manager, you will report to a Senior Account Director in the Paid Search department. This is an exciting opportunity to help grow the department within the agency, allowing you to contribute to its performance and culture. The Role The focus lies in overseeing the execution and performance of Paid Search campaigns while managing client relationships, ensuring strategic alignment and efficiency. Work is delivered independently and tasks are delegated based on priority and commercial impact. The Account Manager contributes to developing a strategic long-term vision for the client, tying together their business goals with PPC strategy. Internal time is dedicated to either line management or involvement in a project as an Individual Contributor. What You’ll Be Responsible For Client Work • Accountability for account performance, ensuring tasks are completed by the team to a high standard with alignment to broader business goals, • Accountability for advanced changes in accounts, ensuring that team members are aware of what actions are being taken and why, • Execution where required, judging hands-on delivery against team delegation, based on resource availability, • Identification of new project opportunities with a clear outline of impact and effort., • Communication with the client lead about high-impact projects, • Challenging the status quo, e.g. highlighting opportunities for smarter testing, refining analyses and account innovation, • Comfortable challenging ideas and giving upwards feedback, • Accountability of end-to-end experimentation, ensuring robust methodology and clear measurement of results, • Focus on support of junior team members on account work, setting tasks and supporting their prioritisation Internal Work • Internal time is largely dedicated to either line management or heavy involvement in a project as an Individual Contributor. Individuals can be involved across both areas. Account Managers must undergo both the people management and project management training courses., • Completion of these courses ensures foundational skills and a consistent approach across the department. Pastoral Care • Establishing a clear career development plan with actionable goals, • Providing guidance on areas of development, collecting & addressing feedback, • Accountable for performance reviews with clarity and consistency, providing promotion recommendations in line with review cycles Individual Contributor • Significant contribution to a pre-agreed project or initiative.. Examples include but are not limited to: training, Paid Social projects, data projects and new business., • Ability to achieve milestones, proactively updating relevant stakeholders, • Building expertise and fostering innovation by developing best practices, mentoring others, and actively contributing to knowledge sharing in the agency, • Contribution to new ideas and helping establish processes What We’re Looking For • Awareness of PPC developments: identification of client & agency opportunities, • Advanced analytical skill: ability to identify caveats with analysis and guide team members through different approaches to quantitative problems, • Advanced client communication skills: ability to lead complex conversations and workshops, driving strategic decisions and managing competing priorities, • Prioritisation: effective prioritisation and delegation of tasks across junior team members, balancing commercial impact with strategic goals, • Client team support: developing junior team members’ technical skills & pace of delivery, • Team Management: effective communication with managee, proactively and regularly providing positive and constructive feedback, • Team Development: ability to establish a clear, achievable and ambitious plan for development with managee, • Team Opportunities: enquires about development opportunities for managees, • Ability to project manage, meet deadlines and drive forward a project, • Unique expertise in the topic of a given project, delivering measurable work Perks, Benefits & Culture In return for your work, time and skills, we offer a competitive salary and some additional benefits: • Equity in the Business: Gain ownership in WeDiscover through our EMI Options Scheme, allowing you to share in the success you help create., • Significant Career Advancement: Be part of a fast-growing agency where your contributions will have a direct impact on our growth and culture.
