JOB-20241107-791d94d2 Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Supervising Social Worker within the Fostering Team to work Full Time for Caretech, Thames Valley. The salary for this permanent Supervising Social Worker job is up to £43,700 per annum.Main duties: • Monthly Supervising Social Worker visits to the Foster Carer, ensuring that supervision is recorded, and reports are completed within 5 working days with copies sent to the child’s social worker and Foster Carer as applicable., • Weekly telephone support to Foster Carers, with recording completed within 24 hours and noting all matters on files., • Support the Out of Hours service by partaking in the rota for covering this service., • Partake in the duty-day rota at the office to ensure that carers and external professionals receive a good quality service., • Cover referrals and ensure that placements are made in a timely and professional manner., • Work with colleagues on the appropriate placement and/or movement of children with Family Carers., • Work with colleagues on the placement arrangements for young people moving on, as agreed with the Local Authority social worker or in line with the care plan., • Attend the organisation’s fostering panel, ensuring that all assessments and reviews have been appropriately completed., • Deliver training and facilitate monthly Support Gorup Meeting’s to and with Foster Carers., • Prepare and support carers and children when attending court., • Attend and record court case conferences, planning meetings and reviews as professional representative of the agency., • Full compliance with organisational policies and procedures., • Ensure management is proactively updated on all matters relating to practice, compliance and outcomes., • participate in regular supervision sessions and annual appraisals., • Ensure an efficient, effective and proactive approach to service provision., • A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent., • Understanding of relevant legislation., • Registered or eligible for registration.
