They are looking for a Regulatory Reporting Specialist join the team on an initial 6 month contract. The position is based at their London offices, hybrid working - you will be required to be in the office 4 days a week, 1 day working from home. Standard office hours with the occasional out of hours requirement during busy periods. Job Description The Regulatory Reporting Specialist will reside within the business as part of the first line of defence, responsible for the day‑to‑day oversight, control, and completion of regulatory transaction reporting obligations. The role focuses on BAU regulatory reporting with opportunities to contribute to ongoing enhancements and process improvements. This role requires a strong hands‑on operational background, deep subject‑matter expertise in MiFIR, EMIR, and PTT regulations, and the ability to work across front office, operations, technology, brokers, and regulators in a high‑volume environment. Key Responsibilities Perform daily oversight and control of regulatory transaction reporting, with coverage across EMEA and delegated reporting models. Review daily reporting outputs, run validation and completeness checks, and ensure timely and accurate submission of transaction reports. Actively intervene and "get hands‑on" when exceptions arise, including identifying missing or rejected reports and pushing them through to completion. Investigate reporting issues, raise and track queries with brokers, vendors, and internal teams, and ensure appropriate resolution. Serve as a SME for regulatory reporting processes, controls, and interpretation of regulatory requirements. Partner closely with Trading Desks, Engineering/Technology teams, Operations, and Compliance to resolve issues and improve reporting quality. Leverage strong operational knowledge across trade lifecycle activities (e.g., trade capture, confirmations, settlements) to identify root‑cause issues across different instrument types. Support quarterly validation and reconciliation checks, using Excel and process improvement techniques. Contribute ideas for process enhancements and control improvements; act as a "fresh pair of eyes" within a high‑volume team environment. Assist in the development and refinement of procedures to meet evolving regulatory and policy requirements. Provide guidance, support, and informal training to more junior or less experienced team members (no direct people management). Required Experience & Skills Experience in regulatory reporting or a strong operational role within financial services. Proven experience delivering regulatory change and supporting BAU regulatory reporting operations. Thorough working knowledge of MiFIR, EMIR, and PTT regulations, including transaction reporting requirements. Experience with delegated reporting oversight and working with third‑party vendors and brokers. Strong understanding of trade lifecycle processes, including trade settlements and multiple financial instrument types. Exceptional problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage regulatory deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence interacting with senior management, trading desks, engineering teams, brokers, and regulators. Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, validation checks, and issue investigation. Ability to thrive in a high‑volume, BAU environment while contributing to incremental enhancements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Advanced or graduate degree preferred.
