How you will contribute to transforming the smart energy network and shaping the future. As Head of Contract & Supplier Management – Change, Governance & Planning, you will play a pivotal role in setting direction and standards across the Contract & Supplier Management function. Reporting to the Director of Contract & Supplier Management and forming part of the Senior Commercial Leadership team, you will: · Lead transformation across the Contract & Supplier Management function, improving processes, governance, consistency, and ways of working · Own governance and assurance, ensuring robust frameworks, controls, and audit‑readiness aligned to regulatory and public‑sector standards · Lead financial and resourcing planning for the function, supporting savings delivery and value‑for‑money outcomes across Design, Build, Run · Provide high‑quality reporting and insight, enabling confident, data‑led decision‑making across senior leadership · Act as a senior stakeholder partner, influencing leaders across Smart DCC, suppliers, and regulators to deliver effective outcomes What you need to bring: To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a strong blend of leadership, commercial acumen, and governance expertise. You’ll have: · Proven senior leadership experience within Contract Management, Commercial, Governance, or a closely related function, ideally in a regulated or complex environment · Strong commercial and financial capability, including budgets, forecasting, savings delivery, and spend governance · Deep governance and assurance experience, with a track record of designing, embedding, and upholding robust frameworks and controls · Exceptional stakeholder influence, with confidence engaging, challenging, and advising senior leaders and executive‑level stakeholders · High analytical capability, with experience translating complex data into clear insights, reporting, and actionable improvement plans Benefits: While our mission is ambitious, we also prioritise balance offering flexibility and support to help you thrive both personally and professionally.
